According to FNC reports, Presidential funerals are planned shortly after they are sworn into office. It was also mentioned that Nixon's funeral details were changed by family because of the controversy surrounding his term.
I think America and the Reagan family gave Ronald Reagan a heart-felt sending off. I watched all of it.

"Published reports have said former Presidents Gerald R. Ford, Jimmy Carter and George Bush all have plans on file, but Bill Clinton does not."

Bill Clinton is undead.

Nice to see a paper write a piece without trying to make a political point....just the facts.

Was wondering about those boots on the horse!

Me too. I couldn't bear to see the phoney crying of Hillary and her minions. And all of them making hateful speeches about the repubs .. never mentioning the guy was a creep.

Hmmmm? I just thought of something .. can Clinton demand a "state" funeral if he's been impeached ..?? After all, he did commit a felony (lying under oath). Curious?

Not sure, but it will probably be held at Hooters.

And not one news reader will even consider wondering if they are overdoing the coverage, even soaps will not be shown for weeks in the Clinton lovefest.

Bill Clinton will be buried in a warm filled glory hole in
the middle of san francisco.... He ordered a glory hole filled by interns, but the overseas tech support misunderstood him and it was a accidentally filled by transvestites.

Forcing military men honor a deceased Bill Clinton would be like the Jews having to honor the Waffen SS.

Bill "Sick Willy" Clinton should think twice if he should dare to request a state funeral.

Sure, there will be those liberals who might even stand up and say good things about him, or laud his "greatest" accomplishments like The Family Emergency & Medical Leave Act or the biggest tax increase in America's history, but who's going to believe it or feel any level of dedication necessary to gather any kind of crowd short of near any total reflecting continuing embarassment?

On the other hand, while I feel relatively confident his greatest detractors, while remaining respectful of the office, would feel near even obligated to pay silent protest baring a sink, blue dress or other rememberances of a true despot and disgrace of an individual.

"Will Clinton's funeral have Flowers?"

Well he's got to keep up with the Joneses doesn't he?

What did Johnson do that was so worthy?

He was President of the United States of America. THAT is all that is necessary.

Bill Clinton will have the full treatment if he wishes. The office is worthy of the ceremony even if he is not.

The Nixons planned his funeral in a tasteful manner, understanding the mood of his countrymen. The Clintons, being "tone-deaf", will simply do what they like.

Yeah, if Dan Rather is still an anchor he'll be crying on-air for days on end.

Honestly, what did Clinton accomplish in those eight years (thanks to Ross Perot) besides scandal?

It is required by LAW that each sitting president make plans for his funeral, right down to picking the funeral home; it's been that way since JFK.

That means Bill Clinton is an outlaw. Can we have him arrested for failing to plan his own funeral?

If I were Jimmy Carter I'd watch my back. Clinton's got a new book and an urge to eulogize, and Jimmy's the only ex-pres sure to accomodate him...stranger things have happened to Friends of Bill.

LOL...well, I'm sure Bill will make Jimmy promise him top billing when they see each other Friday. They'll probably have lots of time to talk to each other. Heck, they'd better both watch out...Hillary may be thinking along the same lines (and we KNOW she's got something black to wear!)

I swear, if Clinton stands around holding court on the steps of the cathedral like he did after the 9/11 service I may pop a vein. They should play "The Cheese Stands Alone" whenever he appears...

very punny thread ...

Will Clinton's funeral have Flowers?

Nah, that would probably give him the Willeys.

Do you think they would use his full name? or just some sort of Moniker?

Not sure. Perhaps they'll just blow it off.

wonder who the Paula-bearers are gonna be?

Well he's got to keep up with the Joneses doesn't he?

Myself, I wonder if they will play Amazing Grace on the harMonica ?
