When you view the numbers of offices held by each party, comparing say 1990 with 2000, the shift is staggering. Its thousands of elective offices going from decades long Democratic Control to GOP. From local to state to the federal level. There is no disputing this, which is why the media ignores it.

It doesn't line up with the mainstream media's view of "what ought to be".
