Clinton documentary delayed due to Reagan's death

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The death of former President Reagan has prompted a one-week delay for the release of a Bill Clinton documentary based on the best seller "The Hunting of the President."

The movie had been scheduled for release Friday, but Regent Entertainment postponed it until June 18. The movie's red-carpet premiere in New York City also was put off from Wednesday to June 16.

"Our film celebrates the presidency and is a film all about respect for the presidency," Paul Colichman, a partner in Regent, said Tuesday. "We decided it was wholly inappropriate during a week of mourning in the country for a much-beloved president to be having a celebration."

Based on Joe Conason and Gene Lyons' book "The Hunting of the President: The Ten-Year Campaign to Destroy Bill and Hillary Clinton," the movie examines what the authors characterized as a right-wing vendetta to ruin Clinton.

The film was directed by longtime Clinton friend Harry Thomason and Nickolas Perry.

"The Hunting of the President" initially will play in New York City and in Little Rock, Ark., where Clinton served as governor. The movie eventually will play in about 30 other markets, Colichman said.

"Don`t tell me another "Michael Moore" type movie is coming out, but this time to freggin` excuse Clinton?"

Uh...that's "a much-beloved president" in case you missed that line.

The only thing that's up is trouble for Kerry. Don't you know he's steaming as the Clinton PR machine renders him insignificant.

The fallout I love is that with all of the renewed interest in books about Reagan, it will suck all of the oxygen out of the room for Bill's book, and its sales will suck!

Isn't it amazing that a spin piece by those dripping DNA down their chins gets the label of "documentary?"

It seems as if this is year for leftwing wackos to make crockumentaries to sell to leftwing audiences, presumably in an effort to fire them up.

It may fire them up, but they already had to be fired up to go spend eight bucks on propaganda with no appeal to anyone else.

Much beloved President by the very same people right now who are cursing out Reagan, his family and his life. Reagan was evil to them but Bill Clinton, a guy who would appear in the oval office in gym shorts dishonoring every vet who ever gave their lives for that office, is their God. Why? Because Clinton was the most un-American. If Castro ran for President of the US these very same people would vote for Castro. "Beloved President" is the term given to Clinton by people like Ted Rall, who is a bonafide psychotic.

The Democrats can ballyhoo Clinton over President Regan all they want but the truth is this:

"The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot." (Proverbs 10:17)

President Regan falls into the former category while Mr. Bill the sinkmaster, falls into the latter.

When he passes into eternity he will not be missed or mourned and ultimately his name will rot. I do not make this prediction, God does and He is never wrong in His assessments.

President Regan's legacy is secure: He is responsible for the fall of communism throughout Eastern Europe and the liberation of millions upon millions of oppressed and enslaved people.

Mr. Clinton's legacy is likewise secure: "Lewenskies" in the Oval Office, while Al Oueda attacked us and America’s interests around the globe; lying under oath; “I did not have sex with that woman” and lastly, “what the meaning of ‘is,’ is.”
