It's a Trostkyite strategy - gain control of the institutions, but still pose as the counterculture, thus making future gains a "triumph of the rebellion" rather than a "tightening of the grip of the state".

Right, I guess if they do NOT style themselves as the exploited, disadvantaged, downtrodden, neglected, oppressed, etc. ...who would listen to them?
