Was there similar rhetoric on FR when Wellstone died? I hoenstly can't recall.

I find it repulsive beyond description that anyone would "cheer" the death of a fellow American. Political beliefs are more important than the gift of life? That is quite simply the most morally repugnant thing I have contemplated in a while.

To liberals, life is a mercy granted by the state, not a gift from God.

To the Left, politics is EVERYTHING. Consider the reaction of Nick Berg's father - an extreme leftist - to his son's gruesome murder at the hands of muslim scumbags: instead of blaming the killers, he blamed Bush and Rumsfeld.

The Left in America today is as dangerous an enemy to our way of life as the Islamofascists. They must be defeated at all costs, even if it requires an armed insurrection to do it.

"Political beliefs are more important than the gift of life? That is quite simply the most morally repugnant thing I have contemplated in a while."

Well, that defined the Left rather clearly. They revel over the dismemberment of a tiny infant, championing such a barbarism by saying it's the woman's "right" to snuff out such an innocent life. The Left is devoid of anything positive and meaningful; its foundation is ignorance and hatred. The Left is a cancer that must be excised from the body politic of American life.

You have to remember this is a group of people who do not cherish human life, unless it can be made dependent or taxed.

Was there similar rhetoric on FR when Wellstone died? I honestly can't recall.

It seems that in the mind, the demented, twisted, illogical mind of the DU'ers, we at Free Republic are guilty of such transgressions. The following appear as a post there:

To all you lurking Republicans looking for insensitive remarks about dead politicians, why not look in your own fucking back yard. Here's some Free Republic posts in response to Paul Wellstone's death:

Free Republic (GOP Central), November 11, 2002

"It's not breaking news, it's smashing news. Besides, this is yesterday's news."

"It would appear that "breaking" applies both to the story, and to Mr. Wellstone."

"To all the jokers who participated in this thread: I've never laughed so hard after a tough day a work. This thread was absolutely a hoot. Thanks for the medicine."

There you go. Any time a media official uses DU as an example of "extremism," just direct them towards Freak Republic. We look tame compared to those whack jobs!

*********************

Now , if you link to the article, you will find the article is not the announcement of his death, but on the release of the autopsy report. The comments above are tasteless jokes regarding the cause of death (crushed on impact) and are not direct attacks on Wellstone himself.

This is the best example they have? If we look at what we see at DU regarding Reagan, it is clear to all that their level of hate and anger has reached the lowest of lows.

While researching to confirm the date of Wellstones death, I came across this article on Wellstone, which asks the question if Wellstone was murdered.

What is interesting his who is asking the question. The article is from the World Socialists website.

Isn't there a saying about a man being known by the company he keeps and the friends he makes?

"Political beliefs are more important than the gift of life? "

Consider their stance on abortion (even partial-birth murder).
