I caught the Fox News panel discussion immediately after the audio of GWB's remarks were first released. Tony Snow sniffed that the remarks weren't personal. I'll forever hold that whiny complaint against Snow. What did he expect? GWB is the current President of the United States. As such, he must strike a formal tone in public because he isn't speaking for himself, personally, but for the entire nation. Sheesh!

I am so tired of the complainers, including those on FNC.

We should all e-mail Tony Snow and point out what time it was during the remarks that Dubya made and that he chose to do it while it was still "today" over here, even though it was "tomorrow" and in the middle of the Effin night where Bush spoke from.

By all means, call Snow an Effin prig while you are at it.

I sent Brit/Tony a litte note about it.

I thought the comment was uncalled for. Actually .. if Bush had made it personal, the dems would have said Bush was trying to politicize the death of Reagan.

Bush is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, and I'm just sick of the second-guessing these media people do .. even Tony.

I agree. I love Tony Snow and his quiet intelligence a gentle finesse of conservative facts/positions/truth. But Tony should realize that, as you said, the President was speaking for the nation. If the President had made this a spersonal statement in any way then we would hear the same (and correct in that instance) criticism that we gave after the Wellstone Pep Rally. To highlight Reagan is to highlight the righteousness of the Conservative view.

God Bless Ronald Reagan.

Me too.
Whiny complaint is exactly the correct term.
I hope he wishes he could take back that remark.
