What I find funny is that the ACLU is so selective on this issue. The seal of LA county actually contains TWO religious symbols:

The cross is on the right, of course, but the central figure in the seal is the Roman goddess Pomona, originally one of the Roman goddesses of harvest and orchards, but who later became associated with the pagan holiday of Samhain after the Romans invaded northern Europe. The influence of Pomona on Samhain led to the creation of many well known witchcraft and divination spells that are still practiced by Wiccans today.

So why doesn't the ACLU demand her removal as well??? Hmmmm???

Good point! Maybe those of us offended that the cross will be removed should demand Pomona be removed. Then maybe they would see how absurd removal is? Ha! Who am I fooling?

While they are at it they might as well get rid of the name Los Angeles. Maybe something more appropriate, like Lenin or Tinneman Square. Something is going to have to be done real soon or America will be unrecognizable within the next 20 years.
