Liberal thought defies reality. Ideas are impulse driven, emotional [...] They loathe free speech -- unless it is their own, are well connected, have plenty of money, speak ill of others less fortunate. Their notion of diversity is superficial. Their censorship skills are finely honed.

BTTT!

Last week, I had to extricate myself from the most absurd conversation I ever didn't participate in, didn't want and didn't start - in which a co-worker was yelling at me because I didn't think that "Bush is a fucking moron."

And that wasn't the conclusion he was drawing from a long dialog - I don't discuss politics at work - those were the verbatim words he started the conversation with while I sat and added drivers to his computer.

I was so angry it was all I could do to remain civil.  I don't know have the slightest idea where he was coming from.

The left is in full meltdown.  It's pretty sick.

I'm sorry you went through this, but honestly, I'm kinda enjoying it.

I agree, they are in full meltdown mode. They are useing everything in the book against Bush and it doesn't seem to be really hurting him.

Think about it; Soro's millions, Moveon.org's ads, Gore's speech, bias in the media, the daily --sometimes hourly-display of photo's from the Iraqi prison, not to mention Moore's new movie and 'The Day After Tomorrow'. They control the media, the colleges, the schools, and the entire entertainment industry. Not to mention--to many, Kerry is a certified war hero.

But the best they can seem to manage is, in some areas at least, Kerry has a 3%-6% lead on Bush.

Heck, if I were a leftist, I'd be in meltdown mode, too. If I were an elitest leftist I'd be screaming at the top of my lungs everyday, everywhere.

Bush connects to the same people these leftists are trying to drag towards socialism--for their own good, of course. And they hate him for it. And they hate us for liking him.

Tell them 'Bush is a f+*&ing moron' and be done with it. If it makes their ego feel better, so be it. I'm beyond saving them. They'll know better in November.

Just smile at these freakazoids, and agree with them..

Then reply: " But Bush will still win.. "

I used this tactic when Reagan was running...
It infuriated the lefties, mostly because they knew it was true..
All their sense of "injustice" was smothered by my reply that even if all they said was true, it was moot..
Because Reagan was going to win, no matter what..
It was so entertaining, to watch the foam begin to build at the corners of their mouths..

My conclusion is that libs have never really thought out any of their screwball positions. That slogan from the sixties "if it feels good, do it" should be their motto. Because I doubt that very many of them have thought beyond their first emotional reaction to any of the moronic and illogical programs they've inflicted on America since the sixties. Making the hard, but correct, choice seems to be beyond them. They are totally unable to look more than a year or so into the future...or at least no further than the next pres election. They are truly people who say full speed ahead to anything that will render them immediately gratification and scorn anything that might take time to realize the benefits of.

"The left is in full meltdown. It's pretty sick."

The liberals are a sick bunch, and are behaving like Little Lord Fauntleroy not getting his/her way.

If you don't roll over and submit to their ideas and sign an oath in blood that you'll vote 'liberal', they go into some sort of zombie trance, frothing at the mouth, and launching a tirade of name-calling and insinuations that you may not be up to their intellectual level.

I don't know what they hope to accomplish with this adolescent behavior, since most people who support Bush and will vote for him, are pretty level-headed and can see through the lib posturing a mile away.

Of course, the measure of their frustrated behavior is proof enough that they KNOW they're not getting through to us.

Bush is not a f****** moron; algore is a f****** moron...and has, and still is, proving it with his every utterance.

I don't know if eff'n is a f******* moron, be he sure as hell is a socialist with commie tendencies...and would climb a tree to tell a lie, when he could tell the truth on the ground.

But, the frenzy the libs are in now is only a preview to what we'll see in the coming months until the election. I just hope we'll see a clear and present landslide for W, to shut the libs up for a while, anyway.

You're not alone. A while ago I had a phone conservation with a close friend. We were talking about sports for crying out loud and all of a sudden he screamed "Bush is a f-----idiot!!" and I mean screamed and then went into this rant about stupid Bush leading us to war for oil (of course). Well the conservation went downhill from there as I got angrier. He not only denied that Hussein had have wmds before the war, he denied he EVER!!! had them. Naturally I threw a lot of facts in front of him like every ally and every foreign intelligence agency claiming he had them. "What about the Kurds and the Iranians being gassed by Hussein?" I said. All lies said my friend. He is a person who is immune to logic and reason. And he's no pauper either and not much of a true lib (he's very pro-law enforcement). It's funny how so many of my lib friends are doing a lot better financially than I am. But they are consumed with hatred for Bush and Republicans that pushes the limits of sanity. I'm convinced that a lot of the irrational hatred of Republicans is simple envy. Someone supposedly has more than they do, and IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!...or so they claim.

And yet they don't realize that if they get their desired socialist paradise, the first thing their own "elite" will do is assure that they are dragged down to the level of the masses, the great proletariat.

Or, do they each believe that they will be part of that elite?

Great article!

What do I really tell her? Liberal thought defies reality. Ideas are impulse driven, emotional and certainly in the case of my wife, shamefully wrong and hypocritical. In fact, she has the anti-disease. Accusations leveled against her are simply intolerable projections of her friends' own shortcomings. They loathe free speech --

Every leftie statement can be interpreted through the mirror of projection.

Most liberals believe feel that come The Revolution! -any revolution, a conquest will do, they, the liberals will naturally be part of the new ruling class because the new overlords will naturally recognize their better breeding and education and the fact that THEY CARE and will put them in charge and, of course, give them their rightful and necessary access to dachas and limos.

The left and reality have never been on the same sheet of music, but I have to concur, they have now brought an oboe to the who concert. I have had similar experiences, if you want to see a real meltdown calmly ask them to name the three branches of the federal government. They can never do it.

It's interesting you should mention that because usually, when I wish to avoid an imminent argument with a lefty I just ask them who wrote The Federalist.

I've never, ever met a leftist who knows the answer.  Never.

Not that I think my opinions are more valid or necessarily correct because I'm conservative, read more or am better educated:  it would be stupid to think that.  But it gets so old trying to discuss politics with people who are 99% ignorant of the fundamentals of American Government.

It's like trying to discuss Beethoven's use of counterpoint and motif in the 5th Symphony with someone who doesn't know the difference between G, C and F clefs.

I do get tired of having to educate them enough to have a decent arguement.

You make good points. After throwing, spinning, lying, omitting everything possible to hurt President Bush, they can barely manage to keep up.
