It looks like the pot of gold is just off to your left a little ways...

Reagan's states were blue... David Brinkley quippped that the electoral map looked like a suburban swimming pool...

I'll never forget that night.

He and his fellow elitist bicoastal Neocons marvel at their own personal, and recent, realization that Americans are the most decent people on earth. People in fly-over country knew this from a very young age.

So? You acquired all the knowledge you have now "at a very young age?". And learned nothing past that point?

You sure that wasn't in '84 when he bitch-slapped Mondale?

But I'll never forget election night in '80 either. I was in art school, and a closet conservative. I had spent weeks encouraging the lefties who didn't love Carter than they sould go ahead and vote for Anderson or Commoner. Heh heh. And on election night my fellow students were in hysterics. They really thought the bomb was gonna drop by morning. I had to keep leaving the room to go giggle.

No...it was 1980... because it was so unexpected... and David Brinkley was in heaven...

Just what I needed, an article about Idaho...as if I don't suffer from constant homesickness already. Can't wait to get home this summer to eastern Idaho.

Cheers from Chile

Ben Stein makes Alex Trebec look like Pat Sajak.

Ben Stein was nominated for Quiz Show of the Year award and ran into Alex at the ceremony. Alex took one look at Ben and sneered a barely civil acknowledgment at him.

I've been to where Mr. Stein has visited when we lived in Spokane. He's not even giving the full effect of these beautiful places, they are even better. The people there are like he said and most are conservative, God loving people who do want the best for their families and country. I regret we had to move to the "other side" of the Cascades where the Baghdad Jim McDermott's live and complain but we'll be back some day to sanity

You live there?! Good Lord, why, in God's name, are you spending any time in front of a computer?!!!
