Bottom line, a speech writer's prepared speech for the choir to hear. It was made to stir up the audience. If he yelled "Hate Bush", they would have responded like a German rally in the 30's and gone into a "Hate Bush" frenzy. As stated in prior post, Gore is burnt out.

Gore overlooks one vital fact: the Geneva Convention does not protect terrorists; it applies only to captured military personnel.

Good logic by author, I havn't seen this before.

The media is NOT reporting it.

Andrea Mitchell today said, "Kerry and Gore could not be more different".

The media whitewash continues, if this were a Republican she would be linking him to Bush.

The American people are not being served by the elite NY media, and we will pay the price with a Kerry/UN/Soros victory.

We must think of a way to combat the elite media, but how?

Hannity made a similar point yesterday of being thankful that Gore didn't win the Presidency, and I couldn't agree more. Thank you Lord!

Al Gore was so close to the Presidency, a prize he coveted all his life. To get so close and lose, obviously drove him mad. Too funny - and proof positive that he would have been a disaster as POTUS.

The Washington Post has only a bland article on page A3, which nobody reads. On the one hand, it is amusing to me that Gore cannot get headlines anymore, no matter how shrill and nutty his statements are. On the other hand, it would be so useful to our side to be able to nail Kerry to Gore. On balance, I will take Gore being an irrelevancy just 3 years after winning the popular vote.

That's what I was afraid of. That's why I encourage Gore to keep it up. And Kerry to join him.

Andrea Mitchell today said, "Kerry and Gore could not be more different".

Well, she's got that half right. Gore was a "moderate", as far as RATS go. Kerry is the most liberal Senator in Washington.

In this moment of national peril, Al Gore is not serving his country or his fellow Americans well.

Wrong ending to a fine article. It should have been, "We gave you raving lunatics the facts and the documentation (again!). You've been ranting and raving against the United States for decades now you can jump up and kiss our asses."

Very fitting.......but, I'm afraid that Gore's words were the measured and intended words of a leftist lunatic.

I'm afraid that Gore's words were the measured and intended words of a leftist lunatic.

Conservatives all across the nation complain about how the war is being conducted, and in serious terms. They passionately say thinks like, "If I were in charge, such and such would be different," or "We should be doing this or that with (either) more or less energy," or "We shouldn't be spending so much money on such and such instead of some other thing." We even hear conservatives complain about our troops' behavior observed in Abuh Graihb and why it might have happened.

But no patriot would attack the war itself. That would be like saying that we should give up chasing the Japanese from island to island in the Pacific right after Tarawa.

My hope is that President Bush wins and the press settles down after that. Our troops need much better support from the 4th estate than they're getting today. It's a serious matter with no easy solutions.
