Every one that I have ever met went into it with the idea that America is a terrible, corrupt place and that their job would be to expose this!
They were liberal idealogues BEFORE they began their missions.

This has some truth to it, as most professors in today's journalism schools came of age during and made their bones in the Watergate era, if not slightly after it. Instinctively they do not trust the government, though I submit that instinctively, no good journalist should trust any source.
Agreed. Liberals graviate towards professions which provide a means to influence others. I've got my own crude theories as to why.
