There is little for press journalism to write about in the Norman Rockwell world. Why anyone would want to be a published journalist at all is kind of mysterious except that it is is possible to become famous by getting the goods on a crooked conservative politician. Nobody cares about a crooked liberal politician.
True--they're a dime a dozen. They'd rather go after the (more) endangered species.
