Hillary: I Know About Being Commander-in-Chief
NewsMax.com ^ | 5/23/04 | Carl Limbacher and the NewsMax.com staff

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton said Sunday that House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi was right to say that President Bush "has on his shoulders the death of many more [U.S.] troops" because of his military misjudgments, explaining, "I know a little bit about" being Commander-in-Chief."

"Any Commander-in-Chief bears that responsibility," she told "Fox News Sunday." "It's an awesome, unbelievably overwhelming responsibility. I know a little bit about that."

Clinton also seconded Pelosi's charge that Bush was incompetent, defending her own comments to NBC last week that the president had demonstrated "a pattern and practice of misjudgments that add up to incompetence and lack of credibility."

"I have to say, I've been very disappointed at many of the decisions along the way implementing the judgment of the administration," she told Fox.

Sen. Clinton said that U.S. troop cutbacks had left the U.S. unable to deal simultaneously with the Iraq war and its global defense commitments.

"We have to face the fact that we need a larger active duty military," she told Fox. "We cannot continue to stretch our troops, both active duty, Guard and Reserve, to the breaking point, which is what we're doing now."

During her husband's administration, U.S. troop strength was cut back from 18 active duty divisions to ten.

Sen. Clinton painted a grim picture of U.S. prospects in Iraq, saying, "We have lot of trouble - everybody knows that. My hope is that we can work our way out of the trouble we're in."

Okay, so WHO made those troop cutbacks? Hmmm?

...She could start with, enlisting in the Armed services. As Commander in Chief, along side her husband, she might have something to offer, instead of "WE are the POTUS"

"Hillary! is not going anywhere!"

Are you too close to the forest to see the trees? From my view, the woman will do whatever it takes and that means WHATEVER it takes to become president of the US. We see great danger out here of that woman trying and in so doing will divide this country as never before; worse than the Civil War. She by her very nature is a devisive person; cunning and a survivor...she has no love for her country, only the power it can bring her.

I love my country, warts and all and I would fight to keep it free. I am proud of my culture, perhaps this makes me sort of biased in todays world of anti-Americanism. How did this happen? Media, France, Germany and Russia and the socialists here - they will take our money any day but don't mess with their little games. i.e., OIL FOR FOOD PROGRAM ---- Wake up New York You’ve got a pernicious problem with mrs. clinton.

Yes....and if she was observing Bill in the role of CIC then she must have witnessed Monica on her knees while Bill was on the phone ordering troops around and thinks Lindy E's military methods are commendable.

Let me add an observation about the character of Hillary.

Hillary is an incompetent, ineffective, manipulative bitch who covers up her incompetencies by accusing the innocent.

That's pretty damn sick. I wish the incompetent bureaucratic bitch would go home to North Korea.

I wonder if Charles Manson remembered to send Hillary a mother's day card?

The eyes are the window to the soul. Hillary is a sociopath, not too different from Charley. The family resemblance through the eyes is uncanny.

That's real funny - while her old man sat in the White House getting 'tickled'...Bin Laden had so much freedom in this country to attack us on 9/11.....she is a greedy and dishonest woman....and only wants power. I'm sure she knows how to be 'Commander and Chief' although appearantly even that in her own marriage has failed - so what could she do better in politics???

What she wants and what she gets are two different things.

The Left would be crushed in a Civil War.

You are exactly right and I'm scarerd as hell just thinking about that evil witch becoming president. I can't imagine it happening, but she's got the goods (FBI files) on everyone, from politicians to media hounds. She used the IRS as a threat to anyone who spoke against the Clintons. Hillary is one evil woman to be feared by everyone in this country.

Oh, PLEASE let this bi*ch step into Kerry's place to "save" the DemocRat Party. Please, God, I won't ask for anything else this year.

The nation can finally scrape the Clinton influence from it's collective boots.

Arguing against boring arrogant Kerry is one thing, defeating shrill hatefull Hitlery would be just pure cleansing FUN.

"I see this as her preparatory assertion that she would make a good CIC...."

Agreed. Hillary is becoming more vocal of late with regard to campaign issues. Makes the tinfoil speculations warmer each week.

"It's an awesome, unbelievably overwhelming responsibility. I know a little bit about that."

I think we all know that, considering the few unsolved deaths in her circle of friends.

Who has forgotten the general that had to serve canapes at a White House event early on in her Buy one get one free administration?

UGH!!!

Let's get something straight RIGHT NOW! Hitlery was the presidential wife. She was never First Lady - to be that, one has to be a lady, and that white trash never was, is not now and never will be a lady. For crying out loud, that walking excrement fails to qualify as a human being!!! (apologies to excrement...)

"We have to face the fact that we need a larger active duty military," Lets face it she's right, especially if she is CIC. Reenlistments will go down along with recruiting results. But on the plus side we'll have a new photo for the urinals.
