Don't forget Mark Levine, just for laughs.

"Gee, after Christopher addressed a couple of Freeper rallies, and after being priviledged to spend some considerable time in his presence, I have a far different view of Mr. Hitchens. Maybe you can elaborate why you have such a harsh opinion of him."

So big deal -- Hitchens paid his bills by jumping on the 'Bash Clinton' bandwagon.

Oh?? Was he charming during cocktail hour?? No need to bite the hand that feeds you -- IS THERE?

Just how much much water is the phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" expected hold? Not much in this case; He's a fraud.

Hitchins has not only long proven himself to be a disrepectful rabid anti-Christian bigot, but apparently he has a pathological (or financial) need to rattle everyone's cage -- be it liberal OR conservative.

In short, IMO Chris Hitchens is a mercenary whore -- and a despicable one at that who'd just as soon stab my kind in the back...or even YOUR kind.

I would love to have a dinner party with C. Hitchens, Laura Ingraham, Peggy Noonan and Ann Coulter at the dinner table.

William F. Buckley wouldn't be bad to have there as well, now a apply a little Gin to get them to tell us how they really feel !!!!

Any others to add to the table? Ben Stein, Dennesh Desouza, Ramish Ponnoru, perhaps, what a hoot.....

Actually, I like this topic better than that if the thread.

I think your party would be a disaster. Conflict rather than contrast. Allow me to suggest some modifications.

Pair Hitch with P. J. O'Rourke, Christopher Buckley, Mark Steyn, & James Lileks.

Compliment them with, Peggy Noonan & Ben Stein (good choices of yours) and Michael Medved.

Honorable mention goes to W. F. Buckley, who we'll spare from such a late evening out of respect for his age.

Hitchens radical secularism offends some people. Heck, the guy considers Mother Theresa a horrible villain. Seriously, he wrote a book about it.

I think you take Hitch for who he is in light of what he believes. And also appreciate how fun he'd be to close a bar with.

I wondered about Penn's feelings on Moore when I watched the episode of "While You Were Out" where Penn re-furbished the waiting room for Teller.

I can't remember the circumstances but the host said something about Penn turning out like Moore or something.....Penn lost his show-face for about a second.  You could see he was way pissed about the comparison and he very seriously refuted it.

To each his own, I suppose. As I recall, there was only one perfect man in all of history--and He was crucified.

Hitchens is evil.

But damn if it isn't funny when he's evil about the evil.

I don't want to stomp on your point, but based on recent photos, Lumpy's got to be running 450.

Is that your position regarding Bubba? Saddam? Hitlery? Or don't you believe in degrees of integrity and good?

On a scale of 1-10, Hitchens rates barely a 2 on both counts.

Yeah, I sure do love it when he blasphemes the late Mother Theresa.

Great guy!

The French audience at Cannes gave Lumpy Reifenstahl a standing ovation after veiwing his latest film "Triumph of the Swill".

I hear the people's propaganda minister "Dr.Gobbles" next film will be either "The Protocol of Bush" or "The Eternal Neocon"

I take it back. I failed to take into consideration that France will soon be under the Caliphate. Amend that to read:
"The French audience at Cannes gave Lumpy Reifenstahl a standing ululation after inhaling his latest filmic flatulence "Triumph of the Swill".

I was watching Scarborough too. It got a pretty good laugh out of Penn Gillette. I was expecting Penn to invite him to do stand-up at his next show.
