Penn and Teller have this new show on HBO. The first episode was just a slap at PETA, showing how hypocritical and dangerous they really are. And, of course, who they really are. It was great.

"Penn & Teller : Bullsh*t", on Showtime... Yes, great show. This is their second season. They recently did a great show that completely debunked the global warming theory.

Penn and Teller have a long history of attacking and refuting nonsense coming from all corners, and it's no surprise to me that Penn would be so strongly critical of Moore. He's a freethinker in the truest sense of the word.

Penn Jillette is a libertarian and definitely not a socialist... His new show on Showtime has blasted PETA,
whacko-environmentalists, junk-science and anti-globalists

and they debunk those things in ways that put Rush and Hannity to shame. I include them in with that guy from 20/20 Joh Stoddel??? He is of the same Libertarian ilk. Conservatives of course have their own bullsh*t but they have less of it then the Left does.

JILLETTE: ... I‘m carny trash. (He's half-right; I don't know about the 'carny' part though) My background is carnival.  And when you compare Michael Moore to P.T. Barnum, I get very upset. ... Barnum never went into politics.  He did all of his hokum based on just show business.

The loud moron is wrong - Barnum was elected the Republican mayor of Bridgeport connecticut on April 12, 1875. (also was elected to State office in CT)

The etext version of Joel Benton's 1891 Barnum biography - EXCELLENT!

I like Sam Elliot-always have. But I can't understand why Elliot and Gary Oldman-both admitted Republicans-were in that putrid piece of liberal propaganda "The Contender". Guess they were well-compensated...

I remember reading some articles that the movie was changed significantly before it was released. It went from a "perils of politics" story to a "evil conservatives bashing an innocent democrat" story. I remember reading a few interviews with Oldman where he was quoted as being furious about the changes.

Wow. I didn't even know that Jeffrey Lyons was still around. I used to watch him all of the time on WPIX ( NYC ) back in the early eighties. If he said avoid a movie, that was the one I would go see and have a good time. The ones he recommended sucked.
