No, because a SECOND passenger jet had hit WTC South Tower. How quickly we forget. Everyone here forgets that Bush was told of the SECOND attack, yet chose to not protect our nation's capital during the initial moments of this war.>>>

This is a patently ridiculous assumption. Fighter Jets were scrambled after the 2nd impact at the WTC. Considering the location of the Pentagon to the airport there, there was absolutely no chance in hell that the pentagon flight could have been intercepted, and by most knowledge due to the fact the take off path of the flight goes near the pentagon anyways. The last plane was going to be intercepted but it was tooken out by brave people on board the plane.

That plane took off from Dulles and the controllers lost verbal contact with it, but it kept on its flight path, so at first there was no suspicion about it.
