I very calmly watched a black rat snake crawl off my porch 2 days ago. I am hoping he will eat the mole that is making my life miserable.
The rattlesnake I saw at the end of the porch last summer is still dead.

LOL. We have 4 foot+ rat snakes that like to slither up the posts in our carport to get the baby swallows in their nests. That's where I draw the line with them. They emit a musty/skunky smell when threatened too. They can have all the rats/mice/frogs, etc in the barn that they want. But not my baby birds!
