Hey, dude, did "mywebpage" shut you down or something? I get red Xs on all the pics except the one that's not from "mywebpage." Even when I go to properties, get the direct web addresses and try to connect directly -- nothing. I went to "mywebpage" main page and there's a message there that says they are having problems.

Yeah, Roberts is a typical liberal journopolemicist, and Cokie's the daughter of Hale Boggs, the late House Majority Whip whose seat was inherited and held for about 30 years by her mom, Lindy, who was a down-the-line liberal Democrat repping for the Louisiana Second (New Orleans).
There's an illuminating story that Cokie never tells, about how Lindy got closed out by the NAACP. They sent a delegation of ministers and race hustlers over to tell her it was over, it was time for her to retire: "It's time for one of our own" is AFAIK a verbatim quote of what one of the poohbahs told Lindy to her face. He might have added, "we like your voting record just fine, but.........you're white!" New Orleans's black Democrats are as thoroughly racist as Lester Maddox and Marge Schottenheimer ever were, or maybe even Theo Bilbo and Robert Shelton; even 20 years before Lindy Boggs got punched out, Iris Kelso of the Times-Picayune was writing that it was no longer possible for a white person to be elected to city or parish (county) government in Orleans Parish.
But you'll never get Cokie Boggs Roberts talking about that stuff. She's a good liberal.
Actually, Steve Roberts did a good job, he was quite fair and polite to Ann, but he did say one or two loaded comments, maybe by accident...
One had to do with Bush and a recent poll, how 40% support the war now, I forgot what he asked exactly, but it was to Ann, and the few conservatives in the crowd booed him for that, he then said he was reporting, not commenting and gave a quick apology like statement.
I call it The Frankenstein Network.

I, too, was there and I agree with you assessment. I will go even further though, and say that our Ann was a disappointment. She HAD to know what she was in for in Hartford... I mean, she does live in New Canaan, right? She HAD to know Franken would have her books and some loaded points and all that stuff... it appeared to me at times that she didn't really care, she was getting paid handsomely and that's all that mattered. It was very frustrating to have Franken yap on and on ad nauseum about the same 3 things and never once did Ann step in and say, "Um, what about equal time here?"

She held her own in the Q&A portion, until the very end. Al zinged her on his question (though cheap, it did play very well to the crowd) and her lack of a closing statement/question was a bit odd too. Come on Annie, let loose!
(she should lighten up on the adjective "Swarthy." she used it about 10x and all it did was fire up the partisan crowd. There are many millions of islamofascists in SE Asia who are not, I don't think, necessarily swarthy!
All in all, I came away frustrated... but i did engage in some healthy discussion with some of the idiots sitting near me and my wife.

We almost got thrown out for cheering her on in the balcony, and booing Al Franken.
But she did better than you saw on the simulcast, but you saw what I have been trying to state here: The TV screen was manipulated to make her look bad!
I compare it to the Nixon/Kennedy debates. Those who saw it thought Kennedy won, those who heard it thought Nixon won. I was in the hall, and I saw and heard the crowd and they were bad on her!
It created a bad atmosphere for her. She had all the good points, she had all the truth, but less than 5% of the audience on her side. None of the negative things were due to her, but what was done to her.

Al Franken, is a buffoon! and his radio show on "Air Jazerra" is kaput! they can't make the payroll and the leadership is resiging...They complained that one radio
station wouldn't give them total controll and run the entire set of programs. I can't believe the arrogance of these Liberals. Rush is a huge success, and signed a contract for 200 million dollars, while "Air Jazera"
gets a kick start of 30 million and fails in 90 days!

I saw Ann Coulter here in Albuquerque....she was great and had the crowd with her here..
This is a shame--but I believe the conservatives should not meet liberals on their own turf without some enforceable ground rules of their own--we've been burned by cheaters too many times, and simply should not bother to play the baiting game...Surprised that Ann would allow this.
