Both my husband and I heard the father say; "They don't know what they have done, he was a friend (to) or (of) the Al Queda.". I might have thought I heard him wrong except for the fact the News anchor, Rick, then came on and said; "He meant to say a friend of the Iraqi's."

I heard that too.

Did it strike you as an honest error when giving the interview, or was it an inadvertent slip of the tongue?
