Agreed. There seem to be many questions as to why this poor man was still in Iraq, and what exactly he was doing there. I just remeber those Japanese 'hostages' who had contacts with the wrong folks. Though that was staged I suspect, I think Mr. Berg may have befriended the wrong people, and was tricked by them, and found himself face to face with some very evil people. Much like Mr. Pearl was.
