Reflections, why else would they return to the source? Why else would they look like "blobs of light that hover in formation"? Why else would they "dart about"? Why else would they "disappear into cloud"?

Reflections don't show up on FLIR nor radar.Huh? Refleccted light contains the same IR wavelengths direct light does, unless absorbed by the reflective object. And pretty much ALL a radar shows is reflection.

Additionally, the objects were invisible to the naked eye, but showed up on radar and FLIR simultaneously.
Also, I don't think reflections normally break formation and circle pursuing aircraft, as is mentioned in the longer report linked above?
