Thanks for catching that. I'm not sure what I was reading when I made that entry under 1967, but I sort of remember something about "secret talks", so maybe I put down something different than the official version and then forgot to double-check.

I've also heard it said that Kerry joined the Navy -Reserves-, not the active Navy. If that is true, I think that bears specific mention. If the Guard is considered draft evasion (which I don't), then the Reserves should be also.
