[history]
Ever since his 1996 Senate re-election campaign, Sen. John Kerry has made liberal use of millions of dollars from his second wife's inheritance. Now that he has become the Democrats' presumptive presidential nominee -- a timely infusion of more than $6 million facilitated by his wife's $500 million wealth -- Mr. Kerry and his spouse, Teresa Heinz Kerry, now claim that divulging her tax returns would constitute a violation of a "right to privacy." Meanwhile, Mrs. Heinz Kerry, whom her husband describes as his "graceful and unbelievable partner in this effort," poses for Newsweek cover-story photos and accuses the vice president of being "unpatriotic." Even for a candidate who insists on having it both ways on so many issues, this is truly an audacious gambit.

Ya know, has anyone seen Leona Helmsley since Teresa and John married?
I think Leona and Teresa may be one and the same.

If not for the fact that she's foreign born, he'd choose her as his VP

I'm grateful for this article from the Washington Times which is generally an antidote to the Washington ComPost. I wish the writer would have asked where Catsup boy is going to get the money to repay the multi-million loan from his wife. From his congressional salary?
I understand he has some modicum of assests of this own, but they're insufficient to even pay the interest on the loan.
All this is obviously some kind of circumvention of campaign finance laws. I wish some enterprising reporter would explain all this to the public.
But that might take some work.

I wish some enterprising reporter would explain all this to the public. Write a letter to John McCain. I'm sure he can explain it. /sarcasm

My MSN message pop up this morning showed a picture of John and Teresa embracing, and the caption underneath said. "Quit attacking my wife"...or something sort of thing.
I laughed out loud.
Just days ago, she's calling Dick Cheney "unpatriotic" and the press was reporting that she was being used as Kerry's "attack dog."
Talk about your double standard. I'm beginning to think Kerry is delusional!

In 1996, at the last minute, she gave his Senate campaign a $1.7 million loan that probably meant the difference in Mr. Kerry's narrow victory, which he won with 52 percent of the vote. How cute! Mamma's gonna' buy her little boy the presidency! He must really make mamma happy.

I'll second that.
I don't like Tree-sah. (I refuse to sound like Natasia from Bullwinkle when pronouncing her name.)

Now that the market value on Kerry's property has been fixed, it appears that they have been underpaying their taxes on the property. Now is the time for the city to make another evaluation of their property tax. Since he wants to tax the rich more why not start with his and his wifes' house?

"John Kerry has made liberal use of millions of dollars from his second wife's inheritance" It's money well invested for her, she believes she's going to be America's 'First Lady'. To this couple, ascending to the Presidency is all about power, privilege and notoriety.
To: Izzy Dunne
I find that a perfectly apt description.
