Easy cut off all and every subsidy to Russia... No money, no wheat, no nothing... When they destroy the Nuclear factories in Iran and apologize in front of the UN (Just to make the Dem's) (of course I would love it also), then we reconsider the support but in slow increments.

You don't have much faith in our military force and capabilities.
Just a reminder......our military is the best in the world. Iran is NO match. And the regime knows it.

>>You don't have much faith in our military force and capabilities<<

The capabilities of the US military is not the issue. Of course, the American military is the best trained in the entire world. My nephew is in Iraq, serving proudly. The issue I am concerned about, is minimizing the loss of American soldiers. Too many have died already.

A war with Iran, is not something I look forward to. Call me selfish if you wish. But I am hoping that my nephew will return from Iraq safe and sound.

I thank your nephew and wish him the best.

The statement you made that got my attention was,"Iran now has America by the b@lls". I don't know what gives you this impression. Everything I've read, (and I read a lot)says that the regime is afraid of the U.S. Iran is surrounded right now.
"The Iranians, if they so choose, can hurt US troops in Iraq." They already ARE hurting U.S. troops in Iraq. Not only do they have Iranians fighting in Iraq, but they finance the Syrians and other terrorists, who are fighting in Iraq. This in NO Way means that they have "America by the b@lls". They Do Not. I'd like to add, that your phrase is just the sort of thing the mullahs would love to hear and would love to spread.
I don't think the President wants to get too involved in Iran while things are unstable as they are now in Iraq. However, some sort of "showdown" with Iran is necessary in the next year. We can't allow them to have nuclear weapons. The Iranian people would like to overthrow the regime themselves. Obviously, that's a 'win-win' for us. Hopefully, we won't need any large-scale military effort to get rid of the current regime. But it's imperative that they do NOT get nuclear weapons.

Perhaps it's time the United States Rethink The Alliance!

The world is going through a period of change(shocking new! NOT) It started with the fall of the old soviet empire. The old alliances are really a relic of a bygone age. For the foreseeable future what we will be having is more of a serise of adhoc temporary alliances where we work together with some nations on certain things(example, We busted a doctor in Oragon today for being part of a terrorist network based on info we got from Spain. A nation that now doesen't support us in Iraq).
We work with Russia to combat terrorism coming from central asia, and we are at odds with them over Iran, Iraq and other issues. I am of the opinion that Russia along with Germany, France(SHOCK!!) have as their longterm goal the removeal of America from Europe as they see themselves as the natural leader of Europe(particularly France and Germany, Russia still wants an empire in the Caucasus and central asia). The problem is Islamic terrorism, They need us to combat it, and we need them to provide intel on the terrorist.

I't my thought(and hope) that some of these adhoc alliances will deepen and become much stronger I'm thinking here the former Warsaw Pact nations, and a arc of nations starting in Turkey and stretching Iran.

Did that make any sense at all? It's really late.

Russia builds energy reactor. One cann't use it for produce nuclier weapon. It is impossible.
You have to know that there are military nuclier and civilian nuclier.
Russia don't help no one with military nuclier and fulfill her obligations.
Civilian nuclier is different matter.
If Russia stops to fulfil her contract with Iran then she will have penalties for abrogation of contract. WHo will pay those losses? United States Congress? It sould be if it votes such resolution.
