None of this can happen if your enemy is dead, in droves and not able to spin anything. It's over. Life goes on.

That's the "take no prisoners" approach that would have prevented this entire "humiliation" incident. I just don't get the guns and dropping peanut butter and cookies approach. I thought the purpose of war was to break the enemies will.
