As I have been doing different searches I have started to notice what I call a "financial creep of Islamic ownership" of different companies and special treatment for Islamic financial concerns (like the special Islamic no-interest home loans). I will post these as I find them.

The following ownership I find particularly interesting/troubling....let me know if anyone else feels the same...I am all for capitalism but Islamic ownership of the largest Medicare Home Healthcare Provider in the United States!!! The ties between the government and medicare and funding, etc. If an Islamic company owns the largest Medicare provider do they abide by Islamic laws Sharia, etc. or are they beholden to the U.S. Judeo/Christian standards? Read further you will see that they abide by the Islamic Shariah Laws, as do the companies that they own. Do Americans want to have a company that is the Largest Medicare Home Healthcare provider in the U.S. be under the auspices of Islamic Law!! Do we want this company to take care of us and our friends and loved ones?? Do we want Islamic laws to supercede our own laws...do we want our physicians to adhere to Islamic laws when providing our healthcare?

A very wealth Bahrain Muslim just bought 75 prime acres near here and is going to build a huge resident elderly health care center and residence. He is also looking to build another similar place on the other side of town. We have a very large population of retirees around here.

So, this is not something unusual. I wonder if there is a real pattern here for some reason?

Do you really want critical health services provided under sharia law? Has it occurred to anyone that a healtcare structure is a perfect biowar vehicle?

If this one passes, you get exactly what you asked for. Which is probably not what you had in mind.

This scares the bejesus out of me. I can't access the site www.firstislamic.com All I get is the title page with nowhere to go. Can you help? Have forwarded as much as info to people in my address book as possible because many have relatives or know of people on medicare. This Sharia or Koranic law doesn't sit well with Christians.

I had an HMO once, Kaiser Permanente. I was quite young but needed a procedure done on my cervix. The doctor I got was an Arabic male. The assistant was a tough-looking Eastern European woman. I have never experienced such pain since, even after having two children. Thankfully, I moved out of the urban area and got a PPO with American midwives and doctors for OB/Gyn care.

The man and woman were tremendously callous. He put a device in wrong and it was pinching my insides. I was silently bearing it as best I could but they got very angry with me for showing that I was in pain of any sort.
