This apology is pointless and shows weakness...
That's why I can't believe the President will actually apologize.
It has been a serious mistake, however, for the administration to allow commissions and investigations to distract them while they are trying to plan and win the WOT, IMHO. Had they not cooperated with the 911 commission, the rats would have been all over tv complaining.......since they DID cooperate, the rats were all over tv complaining! Forget politics, forget investigations, and forget apologies....our only objective should be to WIN THIS WAR!

For the life of me, I just can't figure out what was going through these idiots' minds, other than sheer evil and perversion. I thought that's what we were fighting against.

"Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me"It only took 4 years but you finally said something I can agree with. The liberal media fooled me early on in Fallujha and I looked like a fool, now I give these reports time to play out and for the other side to weigh in. It hard not to jump in but looking like a fool ain't easy either.

"Of course I've got confidence in the secretary of defense," he told the U.S.-funded Arabic television network Alhurra. I recall that when Clinton said this, the person was toast the next day.

Are you READING the thread?? The Prez did NOT, Reapeat NOT, apologize for any d*mned thing. He said Americans are not represented by the prison thugs, and justice will be served.
He's saying we'll fix our problems. We'll punish the guilty. No apologies!

An America where cruel vengeance is extracted against prisoners is an immoral America. Ya just know there are a few loon-toon cretins here who are just dying to call you a "troll" for what you just wrote!
Very sad indeed!
To: Cap Huff
Agree totally, Cap.
The President hears all kinds of advice. That's a fact.
He then makes his own decisions based on his own values and morals which are derived from his study of Scripture, and his vision for America and the world.
He's doing what he believes is right...........as always.

I agree that Pres. Bush is a man of integrity.
However, this is like apologizing for a fly drowning when you're trying to save a boat of sinking babies.
It's like apologizing to your neighbor for getting water on their lawn when their dog is crapping in your yard.
Why illuminate our faults to the enemy? We see them and correct them. We don't owe them. They owe us.

Bush should apologize. And the men who committed torture should be thrown out on their ear. Or sent to San Francisco where their latent S&M homosexual craziness will have a receptive audience. But I suspect even San Francisco denizens would reject them. For now, out of army that represents my country, they've lost the right to be called "good guys". They've lost the right to wear the uniform.
Good, they deserve one.

I guess it wasn't so bad, but the whole thing is upsetting to me. I don't believe in prior wars we publically explained ourselves to the enemy during battle.

We used to submit people to nuclear warfare in order to win wars.
Now anything we do, we have to explain ourselves. Oh well.

You misunderstand most things.
He is talking to our friends and the fence sitters.
The enemy will be eliminated.

I agree. President Bush is a man of courage and honor and he along with all of us, know what those few soilders did, was to harm what all the good we have done in Iraq.
Good will prevail, it always does, and God will make sure of that.... too many people praying for our President and our leaders.
Where two or more shall gather... so shall he.

Maybe we could pass out helmets to them so that their heads don't get hurt.
Yeah, that's the ticket!

Bush should not and won't apologize.
It was NOT torture.
Given them a beer and drop the matter.

He explaining to the Iraqi people, who will soon see some semblance of sovereignty again, that the perversity in the jail is not a representative view of American soldiers.
The Iraqi people are not our enemy, and we are not in battle with them.
