I am quite sure that the message we are trying to send overseas is not what this liberal idiot says it is. Rather, our message is - if you combine your Islam with hatred of the US, we are perfectly happy to come over and blow you to atoms. If on the other hand you combine your Islam with peaceful intentions toward the US, we are resigned to leaving you in the deep error that is your religion. Only a liberal would think the second means "loving" their errors. And nobody who isn't a Muslim - secular liberals included - thinks it is anything but an error. They are just scared to say so. The good general isn't.

i think the position you have articulated is the minimally-acceptable one. Me, I always believe in nipping this thing in the bud, but there are humanitarian considerations, after all.
