Hmmm. According to the Greenbrier's webpage Greenbrier they are still up and running as a resort hotel for the public. They have special holiday packages listed for Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc. 2004.

I checked out Greenbrier too. The room rates are $624-$854 per night. Plus a $27 surcharge per person per night. Wow! I won't be staying there anytime soon. lol TMGrasshoppers

What was said about Greenbriar may also apply to Site R. I would like to drive over there later today and take a look at what is going on. Site R was going to be turned into a museum after the end of the cold war. Over the summer, there was quite a bit of construction going on at the Site. Armed patrols have been added, and it appears that there is continuing activity even today.
