GORELICK-GATE SCANDAL -- Former Clinton Justice Official Fingered As Culprit For 9/11 Botch-up!

The Gorelick memo, issued under the authority of the Justice Department in 1995, was blamed by Attorney General John Ashcroft on Tuesday for hampering the ability of the FBI and CIA to cooperate in terrorist investigations.

Other aspects of Gorelick's tenure suggest more conflicts, such as questions about what role, if any, she played in advising President Clinton that there was no legal basis to extradite Osama bin Laden to the U.S. when he was offered by Sudan [to the U.S.] in 1996.....

Gee, I wonder, does she have any connection to Iran?

She looks and moves like a Persian woman.

She kept OBL out of US custody.

Al-Quaida bragged that they had a very high level US govt official, formerly in the Pentagon, who was an AQ operative. (I wish I could find that thread again!)

She stifled the FL800 and OKC investigations.

Can anybody besides me connect the dots?

Was her grandmother Persian?

Hey, let's give Gorelick a break, here. When she was on duty, her superiors were far more interested in butchering Christian children and pimping for Willie than they were in the security of the country.

I can't resist the thought of her on the dem ticket this year with the former VP. The bumper sticker would read "Vote for Gore and Gorelick!"

Can you imagine if the party affiliations had been reversed and she had served in a Republican administration? The media would be frothing at the mouth calling for her head, investigations and demands for immediate explanations!

Drudge Report has a statement by Gorelick defending her position and intent to remain on the commission..

It would be interesting to see if her defending statements stand up to scrutiny..

Nothing will remove Gorelick shy of a Presidential complaint of conflict of interest.

Democrats see this Gorelick behavior as alright by their lack of morality and ethics.

By what power does anyone think they'll get her out, because on her own and with her Dem buddies, she ain't going.

Maybe refusal to leave could be used against the Democrats though, that is a possibility if some Republicans start growing huevos!

She has to stay on the commission in order to cover her own butt by keeping any information that incriminates her or the Clinton administration under the table. Don't expect the commission to get rid of her or for her to resign. It is not in HER best interest and it definitely is not in the best interest of this nation. Therefore, she will stay on as any typical, liberal, partisan, and factless finding Democrat would.

I wouldn't be that concerned about her being on the commission. We ought to be pressing that SHE SHOULD TESTIFY BEFORE THE COMMISSION IN PUBLIC HEARINGS. Just the way they put the screws to Rice to testify.

It's clear the basic flaw was the firewall that was setup between the FBI & the CIA. She is in the center of that activity and can be a vital witness.

Then the commission can explain why it's ok for her to be on it. I would accept their statement, wouldn't necessarily believe it, but the credibility of their whole report would be on their explanation.

This egregious Conflict of Interest blows the Commission right out of the water. It is finished no matter what it does now. If a former high official is allowed to investigate herself why have an "Independent" Commission anyway? Just have the CIA investigate the CIA and the FBI the FBI.

The more we shine the spotlight on this Ur-RAT the more the rotten deals and incompetence of the Clintonites will be revealed. They will have her out in a week or so once they realize that all her cover-ups are about to be pin-pointed.
Putting her on this Commission was an incredible screw-up (necessitated by Hillary's interests) and the RATS are about to pay a big price for it. Bush could hardly believe it when they requested her appointment.

It doesn't matter what Gorelick or any of the Democrats do. The Democrat Party is so corrupt that Democrats will lie, distort, deny, and obfuscate, audaciously and outrageously, and the Mainstream Newsmedia will cover for them, and the yellowdog Democrat electorate will vote for them.

if some Republicans start growing huevos!

Gorelick is secondary to the lack of huevos problem. Enough hands across the aisle as that only gives the RATS an excuse to spit on them. It's long past time to take control and clean house or the house/America will soon be demolished.

I guess any testimony to the commission doesn't make a difference. Gorelick had her mind made up a long time ago.
Lots of other bungles documented in the article... most before GWB took office.
Jamie Gorelick, the No. 2 Justice Department official in President Clinton’s first term, sounds a similar theme. “We have a very robust intelligence collection effort,” she says. “But we don’t have a commensurate analytical capability. I am certain that when we are able to digest what we have collected, we will find information which surely could have or might have prevented” the attacks.

Gorelick wrote the memos which thoroughly debilitated our nation's intelligence and law enforcement organizations' ability to coordinate investigations and share information about terrorists working in the United States. These memos led directly to the conditions which permitted the successful terrorist attacks of 9-11-01. This much we all know - - it is documented.

But here's the kicker: Gorelick was not an entitiy unto herself, working alone and unilaterally coming up with these disastrous policies and then issuing directives to implement them. She worked for somebody. She took direction from somebody.

Now, it is generally agreed that Gorelick was "the eyes and ears in the Justice Department" for..... guess who? And do you suppose that Gorelick did exactly what "guess who" wanted her to do? Is it any wonder why the Clintons had the Democrats put Gorelick on the commission so that she could float "under the radar" and not be considered as a star witness herself? Clearly, she is indeed a (potential) star witness except that the commission doesn't seem to be interested in putting her in the witness chair, questioning her in public and under oath, and extracting some of the most important information about Clinton Administration security lapses that it could possibly hope for. Why do you suppose that is?

It is an outrage.
SHUT DOWN THIS DISGRACEFUL "COMMISSION" CHARADE NOW!!!
