We did learn. Americans, unlike the EuroWhiners (there is an 'H' in there) learned you cannot appease evil; you cannot give quarter to the devil.

The last time we - the Americans and the Brits - let this happen millions were killed. Oh, and no coincidence the French rolled on that occasion too.

I also think we did too good of a job pacifying Germany. Now why don't you give us a chance to do the same in Iraq?

They are NOT "defending their country."

They fall into 3 categories: (1) criminals; (2) former supporters of Sadam's genocidal, fascistic regime who covet their lost power (and probably fear what's coming to them when prosecutions for war crimes begin); (3) jihadists from other countries who are trying to continue what Osama < may his name be blotted out > began on 9-11.

They (and Agent France Presse, and AlJazeera, but I repeat myself) keep telling you that they are "defending their country," and you're believing them. You have to understand - AlJazeera and the jihadists lie like dogs. They even lie more than Democrats.

Fifty million people died in WWII. Hitler started that war and the German people did a LOT more than simply acquiesce in it. Most were enthusiastic supporters. Yes, you slaughtered 6 million helpless Jews, but an additional 44 million people died BECAUSE OF YOU and your eff'd up sense of morality. Now you're advising us once again to turn our back on evil? FORGET IT!

If they are defending their country, then they should put on a uniform, however simple and rudimentary, to identify themselves as fighters and separate themselves from the civilians. They should also stop using mosques, ambulances and hospitals as devices of warfare. They need to stand up and fight and stop whining for the US to pull back the snipers. What whimpering scum!

They are cowards who hide among their civilian populations. They need to distance themselves from their women and children, not hide behind them. They declare their "holy city" of Najaf as off limits to attack. Mmmmkay, um, I don't think so. They can change their identity from soldier to civilian simply by dropping their weapons and strolling down the street.

If it is their right to defend their country, then it is their destiny to die.
