I just called the commission and got through. I told them in the politest terms that the honorable thing for Gorelick to do is resign and testify before the commission.
I told the lady on the phone that just as a criminal does not sit in the jury box in his own trial, Gorelick should not be sitting on the commission with such an obvious conflict of interest.
Finally, I said that if Gorelick stays, the commission will have no credibility and the American people deserve a credible report from this commission. Her silence was deafening. Only thing she said was thank you for the call.

I faxed my Congress-person (groan), both in her D.C. and the home district offices with the "request" that my Congress-person "ask publicly for Gorelick's resignation from the 9-11 Commission". I am still waiting. Probably gonna' be a long wait.

I've called the commission many times. A few days ago I called to complain about Gorlelick (before Ashcroft testified). The woman that answered told me that it was the White House who appointed commissioners and that my complaints should be directed at them. I knew that democrats appointed democrats but I needed proof. I called back an hour later armed with proof that Daschle had appointed Gorelick. I asked her why she had lied to me. She hung up on me.
In other words, "Shut up, it's none of your business". I can see she learned well from the head of the commission.
Another route to go is to call your Senators offices and complain. That too got me no where yesterday but if they hear from enough voters maybe some more will listen.

Wonder what kind of turnover they are having with employees who answer the phone calls of unhappy Americans? I have this visual of them screaming at each other, throwing phones, banging heads on walls, etc. Wonder what it pays.

Finally, I said that if Gorelick stays, the commission will have no credibility . . . They should appoint a commission to investigate this.
