Family's like this are what made America great and beautiful. I am proud to say they are from my hometown.
To: Revelation 911; The Grammarian; SpookBrat; Alamo-Girl; betty boop; Dust in the Wind; maestro; ...
An amazing acknowledgement from a bereaved family. We should lift them in prayer.

Families like this need more media exposure to make up for the Bush-hating from the 9-11 widows.
My prayers go out to this family....

I praise the Lord for the strength that He is giving this family, and I pray that they will have a special sense of His presence in their time of grief. The Lord is Gracious.

I support (Bush) 100 percent.
To me, we didnt start this, Jan Johnson said. Bush took it out of our country and back to them. Our guys are over there taking care of us here to make sure that doesnt come back to us.
I guarantee you, that if we take the above away from this family that we pour salt into the open wounds of their grief.
The ultimate meaning of their child's death was to protect his country, his friends, and his family.
What message does John Kerry and Ted Kennedy and the Democrats send them by undermining the legitimacy of our cause for going to war -- that we were protecting our nation from attack? It is clear, the demonrat message tells them that their child's DEATH was in vain.
Last night the president said exactly that. He is exceptionally perceptive. He said last night at this link, "One of the things that's very important," he said, "is to never allow our youngsters to die in vain. And I made that pledge to their parents. Withdrawing from the battlefield of Iraq would be just that, and it's not going to happen under my watch." ,

I agree, xzins.Jim Angle said that statement to the families was his most important point proving his determination to stay the course in Iraq.
I said on another thread that the dems over the line criticism about Iraq and its"failures", does not "nevertheless" show support for the troops. It undermines their sacrifice and morale.
I believe it encourages the enemy and costs lives.

M33, I totally agree with you. They undermine our troops with their rhetoric about "supporting the troops but opposing the war." It's sheer sophistry that is only rational as a soundbite and not as a real position.
I will readily agree that the government got to the point in late Vietnam where its actions demonstrated it did not have the will to win the war in Vietnam. But, that was something that came about over a series of years. The death-knell for Vietnam was the decision during Johnson's years that opposed attacking across borders into Laos and Cambodia and opposed bombing the north. They took the war out of the hands of generals and put it in the hands of politicians are war protesters. At that point, the nation signaled that it had no intention of winning in Vietnam.
But that came about over a period of years.
We have been in Iraq merely one year and we have total control of the country except for this low-intensity conflict with baathist remnants and islamofascist terrorists.
There is no way that any fair-minded person can fault the meaning of the war on Iraq given (1) that we've been engaged in it for just one year, (2) that we are clearly trying to win it, and (3) that the reason for the war is definitely to protect the security of our own people and nation.

Jan Johnson gets it, our guys are taking take of us. We should be very proud of them, not fail them.

Bush took it out of our country and back to them. Our guys are over there taking care of us here to make sure that doesnt come back to us. This is a fact that the US Military and their family truly understands! It is so simple that it seems to go right over the heads of the democrats!
May the LORD touch every wife, child, mother and father of these special men who gave their lives to protect America from another 9/11! I bless them everyday!

Prayers for the family of this fallen hero. We fight in Ramallah so we don't have to fight in Rome.....in Baghdad so Boise and Boston and Bremerton are not war zones. Our Military has taken the war to the enemy. God bless them.

Thanks for the ping, TB9!
If we dont stay there, its going to turn into another hot spot, and my sons death will turn into nothing, Jan Jonhson said, tears running down her cheeks. We need to stay until its over.
Imagine. You have just recieved word that your beloved son has perished at the hands of Islam. John Kerry is calling your son's military leader a liar, an opportunist, that he had foreknowledge of the Islamic attack(s) of 9/11, and that he (George Bush) has prolonged the war to remain in office.
Only to realize and say, "If we dont stay there, its going to turn into another hot spot, and my sons death will turn into nothing . ."
To all you lurking Democrats: You are are being EXPOSED. From J-FK to Ted Kennedy to Hillary Clinton and on down your miserable chain of corruption - YOU ARE BEING EXPOSED.

More like amazing chutzpah for a reporter to seek out a grieving family and then ask to observe them as they watch the address.

Family's like this are what made America great and beautiful. What a sefless, brave, and honorable family.
I am proud to say they are from my hometown.
My better half is from the Rome area, with relatives scattered about west Rome, Armuchee, and Porterdale. Those people are the salt of the earth.
I'm proud to say I live in the same state as these people.

>>The media never ceases to amaze me.
Channel 2 had cameras in the room with a young widow, and her mother-in-law, who were trashing Bush. Monica was the newsreader.
The ghoulishness of the lamestream media knows no bounds.

Nice to be reading about this in the Washington Post. Oh, not, not the Post.... The NY Times? LA Times? CNN?
No, of course not. The Never-Heard-of-You Press.
Are Christians allowed to hate the mainstream media?
