Who selected this panel, anyway? In Addition to Gorelick, is it not true that Lee Hamilton was co-sponsor of the legislation that erected the "wall" between the FBI and the CIA?

And BenVenisti ---His brainless prosecutorial fervor is so over the top in his Armani-suited caricature of a slick and slimy lawyer, he brings a certain comic relief to the proceedings

I thought I heard Rush (last week)saying that Daschel was responsible for the Dems on this Commission. Another reference to BenVeniste getting his talking points from Daschle.
Does anyone know for sure?

I believe that Gephardt and Daschel selected the Democrats side of the Commission.

I will not flame you for ranting on AOL. I was a victim of their drug-dealer style tactics to get customers (Here's some free hours online... Cancel? Are you sure? Here's some more free hours online...of course we're billing you for 2 seperate accounts, you never cancelled the first one in writing). Then just try to uninstall AOL from your system. I hate AOL almost as much as Satan himself. I won't even install Netscape because of AOL's filthy hands all over it. Mozilla is the browser that AOL/Netscape bastardized. It has all the features of Netscape sans-AOL (including pop-up blocking). Earthlink used to have a commercial that asked "Isn't it time to take off the training wheels?". I ridicule anybody that is still using AOL mercilessly. BTW, did I mention that I hate AOL?

Ah, if only I could get Xena's Mom on board with you . . . she screams when she can't see her Buddy List (usually because it's obscured by the 2000 other windows AOL opens), but to the best of our collective family knowledge has never used it. That kind of AOL user devotion is monolithic.

You might want to e-mail them the following info too...

Gorelick, formerly the number two person in the Clinton Justice Department is a Democratic appointee to the Commission charged with preparing a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Gorelick was an inappropriate choice for that position because she is a partner in the Washington law firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering. According to Newsweek, Wilmer, Cutler represents Prince Mohammed al Faisal in the suit by the 9/11 families. The families contend that al Faisal has legal responsibility for the 9/11 attacks.

Source

While the source is a web blog, it seems to be thoroughly researched with links to legitimate stories (i.e. Newsweek) that back it up. It also questions whether Zelikow should also resign.

Thanks for the heads up - done:

Dear Mr. Kean,

The final determination of the 9/11 Commission will not be credible if Jamie S. Gorelick remains on the commission. As a former deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration, Gorelick was directly responsible for the lack of information sharing between the various agencies of our intelligence community! Isn’t this inability to merge intelligence data at the very core of the government’s failure to detect the 9/11 plot? I am beginning to think this entire process is a sham.

Sincerely,
XXXX
