BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The U.S. military intends to kill or capture rebel Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr who launched an uprising this month with his militiamen clashing with coalition soldiers in several towns and cities. "The mission of U.S. forces is to kill or capture Moqtada al-Sadr," Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, commander of ground forces in Iraq (news - web sites), said in a video conference from Baghdad with correspondents in the United States.

Now THIS is what those brave troops want to hear over there! Anything less would dishonor those who have fallen in the fight to capture this butcher Sadr.

Because media spins disinfo and doesnt want you guys to know what is going on and it pisses me off. But later some info will be release for you guys. That is why I think Jim created this web site, because of media left swings, and constant lies. So, I think Jim decided to put on end to this left nonsense, and let people speak the truth of how America really is country of truth, dignity, freedom. God Bless America

Hi Bogdan
Good to hear from you.
I believe you are 100% correct. The AP, Reuters, and the alphabet networks spin everything to make President Bush look as bad as possible. I keep hoping and praying that people will understand this in time.

Sadar isn't in Fallujah. He's in Najef. The Sunnis are in Fallujah.

Can you imagine that John F'ing Kerry said this (from Newsmax):
Wednesday, April 7, 2004 10:41 a.m. EDT Kerry: Terrorist Shiite Al-Sadr 'a Legitimate Voice'
In an interview broadcast Wednesday morning, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry defended terrorist Shiite imam Muqtada al-Sadr as a "legitimate voice" in Iraq, despite that fact that he's led an uprising that has killed nearly 20 American GIs in the last two days.

Good to see.
We're making him an offer he can't refuse. Either stay and be killed or captured, thus solving a problem for old man Sistani OR flee to Iran to become yet another marginal exile, leaving the lion's share of influence in Shi'a Land to, you guessed it, old man Sistani.
Guess who we have a secret agreement with?
You guessed it. Old Man Sistani.
Guess whose stooges and toadies are going to win the upcoming "Mosque Election" in the fall?
If I said, "Old Man Sistani", you'd have reason to kill me, but I'm a nice guy, so I won't say, "Old Man Sistani"...
BTW, did I mention that Sistani is getting on in years?

Chris

John F'ing Kerry embodies the hapless kowtowing to terrorism and the promotion of it. His comments only magnify the publicity of Sadr's terrorism and seeks to weaken our resolve. How sad that the 'Rats have abandoned the long-respected bipartisan law that you "rally round the troops" in time of war.
I just saw a CNN poll that shows that Americans, by 60%, are not dissuaded by these latest setbacks, still support the war, and know that we'll soon be back in control of the situation. I also think that they will see the treason of the Democrats and will be clear on why all politicians need to fully support our troops who are in harm's way.

Chris - what I infer from your post is that we have promised OMS power if he plays along, the elections will go his way, knowing that he will kick relatively soon and by then the Iraqi infrastructure will be capable of supporting a real govt?

Capture him, put him in a spider hole, and make him come out like Saddam Hussein on TV.
To: kattracks
Gee. I thought we knew where he was. Why not flatten the mosque in which he is hiding with a daisy cutter? You get Sadr and his friends - such a bargain!

They're negotiating the terms (if any) of his surrender. Either he gives up peacefully, or he'll be hauled in by force. If by force he's killed, or by force he's captured, it will all depend on circumstances.
Either way, the CPA will assume positive control of the unwashed Shiite, and his militia will be disarmed. The pause in hostilities is to minimize civilian casualties and to give him a chance to surrender.

The entire Sadr rebellion was an attempt to preempt Sistani, and more importantly, Sistani's people, from getting ahold of the State machinery by means of a mosque election. Sistani will put the word out through his mullahs to vote the straight Sistani ticket. The Iranians know this, and want to prevent Sistani from setting up a "rival school" to the Qum Ayatollahs.
Sistani, operating out of Najaf and Karbala, has a legitimacy that the Teheran crowd does not have within the Shi'a cosmology. All Sistani needs to do is to make a deal with the Sunni collegium. A deal with the Kurds and their powerful Peshmergha is pretty much done. With Sadr out of the way and the Marines on their way to rubbing out the Sunni rebels in Fallujah, most of Sistani's problems have been solved for him.
The Coalition gets to do the unpopular heavy lifting, leaving Sistani the opening he needs to pick up the pieces. The Iranian covert actions were clumsy and ill thought out. They should have approached Sistani with a view towards making a deal, rather than promote their own toady, Sadr. Once Sistani is victorious, he will owe Teheran nothing.
All Sadr had going for him was his family name. Now he has nothing, and in the end, so will the Iranians.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
