Q: Why was this PDB prepared?

DCI Tenet has already described the genesis of this PDB item in a letter to the 9-11 Commission dated March 26, 2004. This PDB item was prepared in response to questions President Bush asked his PDB briefer. The President had seen previous intelligence reports about possible al-Qa'ida threats to U.S. targets outside the United States. The President had asked whether any of the information pointed to a possible attack inside the United States. When this PDB item was presented to the President on August 6, 2001, his PDB briefer told him that it was prepared in response to the President's previous questions.

The story is DOA -- but that won't stop the media and the RATS. Rather than admit they were on a witch hunt, just trying once again to bash Bush, the meida and their pals, the RATS, will just troll around to find the next thing --however small -- they can use to attack the President. There's another historical document at post#111 that has information that I haven't heard any press or talking media relate to the public.

When a future commission convenes to investigate another terrorist act, as was done in the past (The Inman Report), perhaps then we'll know more.

The new head of the FBI had just taken over when 9/11 hit. RATmedia attacks on the president had weakened his effectiveness. RATmedia liars had not reported that Senator FatAss Levin had prevented President Bush's top three appointees to the top anti-terror posts from being confirmed until July 2001. Yet more treason and partisianship from the RATS aided and abetted by the RATmedia.

One very serious missed opportunity to disrupt a terrorist network here in the United States prior to September 11, 2001, involved Yousef’s agreement to meeting in New York between Scarpa’s associates (who would have been disguised FBI agents) and four active (unincarcerated) terrorists. This meeting never took place because the cognizant FBI agents and assistant U.S. attorneys refused to agree to Yousef’s demand that $3,000 be provided to the terrorists.

I beg to differ. Most of the widows who are doing all the TV time are in the group that are SUING THE GOVERNMENT in the hopes of getting more money. They were not content with $3.2 million each.

The man who was put in charge of those funds, was on C-SPAN the other night and I saw him explaining to some people what he had told the ones who would not accept the donations. The families kept saying that unless they filed suit they would never know what really happened. He told them that a lawsuit would not reveal what happened. And .. he said he also told them that probably the most they would ever see was $1 mil each. While if they took the $3.2 mil now, they could invest it and live well the rest of their lives, and even prepare to send their children to college.

The main group of complainers are from the Peaceful Tomorrows, which is affiliated with the Tides Foundation, which is funded by Teresa Heinz Kerry.

These are the same people who showed up for the Clarke testimony - and when Clarke gave his "apology", I could just see that statement being in all the pleading documents submitted to the court. I believe Clarke's statement was done solely for the purpose of giving these certain family members another reason to file suit; the govt admitted they failed to protect my loved one.
