IRAN and Syria are at war with the United States. In Iraq. Now.

Washington refuses to admit it. The Bush administration claims that the struggle in Iraq is about the future of the entire Middle East, but won't concede publicly that other countries in the region are extensively involved. And the outcome they seek is exactly the opposite of what we hope to achieve.

There is a lot of good information in the reader responses too, including many by Dan Darling.

We're going to conquer Iran either this year or next year, but more likely this year as they've come after us and won't stop.

You better believe it. We should have taken care of the situation a long time ago. Incidentially I published a plan right after 9/11 to do just that. It was highly politically incorrect and essentially called for a joint US - Indian force to take over Pakistan as the initial base of operations. Then we would have taken Afghanistan overland. From there, Iran, then Iraq, then Syria. If this seems familiar, it is. Think of the years 1943 and 1944 ;)

Pakistan has those pesky nukes. Iraq was low hanging fruit. Iran and Syria will get their turn. Perhaps even the Saudis.

We either destroy Syria's baathists and Iran's Shiity gangland leadership or we reignite our own draft to try to defend ourselves from the islamists global nuclear war on Civilization.

Iran for some time has been able to produce highly effective dirties for their well established sleeper networks worldwide.

The Iranians started this war crimes Terror War against the USA in 1979, but Carter, Reagan, Bush-41, and the Clintonazis ducked it.

Many of us were sickened by Reagan caving to Dem's demands to simply abandon Lebanon rather than destroy Eye of Tola Iran, known to have trained and supplied its proxies to kill our 242 Marines, denied ammunition and heavy weapons to even defend themselves.

We must kill these jihadies by the thousands leaving scabs in the dust. IMO, D-9s should clear fields of fire enabling our forces to uncover arms caches, likely in most homes in Baathist Falluja and other Shiity homes and all mosques. Napolean designed his new wide boulevards in Paris for the future's more effective cannon fire.

I pray for our teenage Marines, the best friends and worst enemies in the world, and their Angels in gunships and fastmovers overhead.

America is at long last at WAR.

Please take everything that Ralph Peters says with a grain of salt. Ever since he sent my platoon up a bowling alley at Hoehenfels, with the blessing of my A-hole CO, which resulted in the total destruction of all my tanks at the hands of OPFOR, I have distrusted this ex-intel officer.

This whole thing shadows of the Korean war. Everyone knew China and USSR were involved directly, but nobody talked about it.
