1. I'm not a particularly violent man, but the person who kills my dog is going to meet the business end of a baseball bat.

2. Why was the dog running loose? The owner didn't know that his dog was outside, and didn't know that the dog was in the parking lot with these men? My dogs are rarely off of their leashes outside of the yard, and I know where they are at all times. Besides the chance that they could be hurt or hit by a car, the liability that would incur if they bit someone (justified or not) is too much of a risk to take.

A little 'owner responsibility' might have prevented this.

Screw the baseball bat. That's why God gave me nails and teeth.

I wonder if the dog was wearing a "tee-shirt and a helmet," as one poster remarked about the tragedy in South Dakota where the Dakota congressman ran a stop sign and killed a motorcyclist. The killer got 100 days.

Have events like this involving the dog always happened and we only learn about them because there is a means to learn about them, or has the sanctity of life lost all meaning?

I was thinking about this last night and thought that I would probably just beat the dogsh*t out of the guy.

As far as the dog roaming loose, Nashville is bad about letting dogs run loose in packs. I moved out to Longmont, Colorado and they have leash laws here which are actually enforced. I like it. No dog poop on your lawn, no Pitbulls attacking your children.
