There are Christians in name only and Muslims in name only and every other religion out there. None are considered true followers of the religion by true followers of the respective religions, they are looked down upon. Saying you are one does not make you one. Actions speak louder than words sometimes.

Actions DO speak louder than words, I agree. I call into question the definition of a "true follower" of any religion. There are plenty of true christians that think catholics are evil baby eaters, and Mormons crackpot inbreeders. The shiites (sp?) and the sunis are blowing each other up right now; if you ask either side if a member of the other side is a true follower, I suspect you'd get a fair number of "no" answers. Considering how there's no supreme head of the Islamic faith (at least, I don't think there is) this is understandable. There's also no such head for the Christians. The KKK follows a wacky hodge-podge of christianity too, and I'm sure they consider themselves the only true christians. I think its a lot easier not to worry too much about the distinctions people make about who's "true" or not, and as you said, focus on their actions. If you see someone burning an American flag while shooting an ak-47 in the air, I say kill them, muslim or not.
