BRAVO to the Commander-in-Chief!!
But I have a question - it seems that whenever we need to take care of something, we always send in the Marines. Not that I'm complaining, but why can't the other branches of the armed forces join in the fun?

Don't forget the Navy and Air Force pilots providing air cover. And the Army is in Baghdad fighting there.

It is not fun... It is business. Professional business. The Marines have been getting ready for this fight since 1998 when they did the Urban Warrior Experiments to determine how to best use all the modern means to assist in the MOUT fight. The result was train, train, train, and that is what every Marine battalion did this winter at Camp Pendleton. They have the skills and the knowledge.
Don't take anything away from the Army Infantry (82nd, 101st, 3ID, 4ID, etc.) they are pros too. The Marines had General Chuck Krulack as CMC with the vision 6 years ago that this fight was inevitable. We just need to let them do their job and trust them that they will not kill innocents if it can be avoided. They will win no matter what the cost... or die trying.
