More Details on Mosque Attack
10:49 AM EDT | 6:49 PM Iraq | Posted By Michele Catalano
WaPo reports the the attack on the mosque was approved after five Marines were shot at from inside the mosque.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A56942-2004Apr7.html

April 7 — U.S. forces fired missiles at a mosque in the flashpoint city of Fallujah Wednesday after taking several hours of fire from insurgents who were using it as cover to attack Marines advancing through the city.
Five Marines had been shot from the mosque before commanders authorized the use of air power and laser-guided missiles against it. They had rejected the air attack several times, according to Marine officers and radio communications monitored from a command post by a Washington Post reporter.

"Terrorist have a strategy to capture newspeople."

They had their fun dancing around the burned and dismembered corpses for the world to see. Now they're getting their hindquarters handed them and don't want the news getting out.

Kerry Joins 'Osama Mama' Murray, 'Baghdad' McDermott, 'Loony' McKinney ...

In his shocking defense of Muslim terrorist leader Muqtada al-Sadr, John Kerry joins a long list of Democrats who in recent years have had kind words for America's enemies. A sampling of the worst: Sen. Patty "Osama Mama" Murray, D-Wash. In her sick fantasy world, Osama bin Laden built "day-care centers" for those liberated career gals of Afghanistan in the good old days of the Taliban, which, according to her, "we haven't done."

Killing muslim terrorists hiding in their muslim terror base of operations, MOSQUES!

Not only are they hiding there, they are firing at our troops from the mosques. Cowards, hiding behind their so called religion. Sorry, but I quit recognizing muslim/islam as a "religion" a long time ago.

Needless to say, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer had this to say:

"The strike came as worshippers had gathered for afternoon prayers, witnesses said."

Sadr's aide can't tell a reporter from a Marine.

Not for long.

yeah, they were praying. And the Ladies Auxillary was crocheting doilies. And the Prayer Auxilliary was planning their sunday picnic. And the Chief Iman was delivering a little talk to recalcitrant youths. And the pregnant ladies class was talking of early development and labor. Sure.

What you suspect as a sniper rifle, is in fact the M-40 sniper rifle used by the Marines. The Marine carying it is indeed, a trained sniper. The scope he is equipped with is capable of 1000+ meter shots and also gathers starlight to enhance night vision.

So it is not another Vietnam. Here if the enemy runs across the line (in this case, into a mosque) we keep shooting.
