Not Teapot Dome. Some kind of Dome, though.

If true Carter is a bigger jack ass than I thought. He has blood of millions on his hand. Oh yeah the man is no more a Christian than Adolf Hitler was. Sorry Jimmy.

Jimmy Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize.

I am not a Nixon appologist, but he took the fall for the fiasco of Vietnam, something the administrations of JFK and LBJ and the democrats controlling congress were 110% guilty of. No Republican could have been elected in '76. I myself resented the Ford pardon of Nixon,(and voted for Udall of some third party that year) not for Tricky's sake, he had already lost all. But because it denied the country justice, wherever and no matter how where that would have led. With the pardon, Nixon was forever damned and those who perpetrated the coup against this nation are in power and running for the Presidency today.

Jimmy Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Carter should have just stuck with the "have lusted in my heart" thing.
At least that made him seem like a normal, decent sort of guy.

Brown & Root is a subsidiary of Halliburton. Halliburton owns them.

How in the hell did Jimmy Carter win in the first place?

Carter was actually a good governor when he ran Georgia. He reorganized the state departments, cut spending, and was overall a decent guy. Plus he served in the military.

I don't know what happened when he went to Washington, though.

Halliburton did not own B&R until recent years.

I wondered about that at the time I posted. 1976 was a long time ago.

Read my tagline, I don't like karter either. I served in his Army, it sucked.

That is a take off on the Wall Street Journal, the Best of the Web always mentions karter's prize when bashing him.

About 38% of all people polled identify themselves as liberals.

Just because some people don't "itentify themseleves as a liberals" doesn't mean they aren't. Indoctrination of newer gernerations from "our" education system, and the alphbet media conglomerates has changed the metrics/perception of what is deemed liberal on issues of import. The Portrayal of "middle of the road" is not what it once was.

The 2002 elections was a defeat for liberalism, and I hope is a sign the pendulum is swinging the other way.

Because Ford was a bumbling, idiot fool, that's why. With his Chevy Chase antics and his stupid pardon of Nixon he pretty much dug his own grave, while Carter portrayed hiimself as the outsider who'll save Washington.

And I'll never forget the way the GOP cart-blocked Reagan in 1976 in favor of a Ford/Dole ticket. Had Reagan won in 1976, we wouldn't be having these Islamic thugs running around killing people, and our economy back then would have been stronger. Hell, we probably wouldn't even had disco.

I sat crying in the middle of my bed, asking the same question, when he won.

Unfortunately, the country was ready for "change" after Watergate. Ford was a bumbling fool way back then, but was still the better choice.

These days, both ford and peanutbilly are both disgraces as former presidents. Both should just shut up and go away.
