The way I understand it the Marines only have to bite off a slice at a time. After they take each slice and turn it into unarmed civvies, a few EPWs and a few corpses then they bite off another slice. The last few slices should have most of the sh*theads in them which would lessen concerns about collateral damage.

At what point do the Sunnis mass their forces and fight effectively? My guess is never.

Would that it was so easy. Each "slice" will be full of innocent civilians, hardworking Iraqis. And as the Marines "pacify" each grid and move on, they'll get shot in the back from the area full of "innocent civilians" they just pacified. And when we return fire, you just know we'll be hitting the Iraqi Crippled Children's Orphanage, and it's guaran-damn-teed every bleeding baby will be filmed on CNN.
