Rock for Life announces second annual National Pro-life T-shirt Day

On April 27, thousands of young people across the country will participate in the second annual National Pro-life T-shirt Day by wearing T-shirts with pro-life messages to their high schools, colleges and everywhere they will travel that day. National Pro-life T-shirt Day gives America's pro-life youth the chance to publicly express unwavering support for the sanctity of all human life from fertilization until natural death.

"This simple act of solidarity and courage on the part of America's pro-life youth will save more babies' lives on this day than on any other day in the year," said Jason Scott Jones, director of American Life League's Rock for Life. "This day is a day for healing; healing for a generation that has lost one-third of its members to the genocide of abortion. This event will save the lives of preborn children, and spare their mothers the terrible assault on body, mind and soul that every abortion inevitably brings.

The past decade has seen numerous situations in which pro-life youth have been challenged for wearing pro-life T-shirts. While pro-abortion forces use their free-speech rights to spread propaganda and lies unfettered, pro-lifers' free speech rights are often suppressed. Examples of the bigotry students have faced include:

  • Teachers, principals and school administrators have equated pro-life T-shirts to the Nazi swastika or profanity, and have attempted to force students to publicly remove shirts.
  • School officials have verbally attacked students and have attempted to suspend students for simply wearing pro-life shirts.
  • One student was physically attacked by a convenience store clerk for simply wearing a pro-life shirt while waiting in line.
  • Golden Gate bridge police in San Francisco threatened to arrest pro-life students wearing their shirts while crossing the Golden Gate Bridge when the girls refused to remove the shirts in public.

In a number of these cases, the Thomas More Law Center has offered legal assistance to students whose free speech rights were infringed upon by overzealous school administrators. "The pro-life majority will not be silenced by overzealous school administrators," said Jones. "Along with the Thomas More Law Center, we will do everything in our power to protect these students from discriminatory practices."

Students Mobilize for Pro-Life T-Shirt Day
By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - National Pro-Life T-shirt Day is coming on April 27 -- a day when thousands of students will make their views known by wearing pro-life clothing to class.

Rock for Life -- a division of the American Life League -- called the effort "a simple act of solidarity and courage," and it warned that the civil rights of students "will be vigorously defended."

Students who wear pro-life messages on their T-shirts will save more babies' lives on April 27 than on any other day of the year, said Jason Scott Jones, director of ALL's Rock for Life.

He called the second annual Pro-Life T-shirt Day "a day of healing for a generation that has lost one third of its members to the genocide of abortion.

"This event will save the lives of preborn children, and spare their mothers the terrible assault on body, mind, and soul that every abortion inevitably brings," Jones added.

Rock for Life says it will be alert for cases where students are forbidden from wearing pro-life T-shirts to their high school and college classes.

"While pro-abortion forces use their free-speech rights to spread propaganda and lies unfettered, pro-lifers' free speech rights are often suppressed," Rock for Life said.

The Thomas More Law Center has offered legal assistance to students whose free speech rights are infringed.

"The pro-life majority will not be silenced by overzealous school administrators," Jones said.

I find it sad there are only two bands I recognized out of those listed as standing up for the unborn; P.O.D. and Brian Ferry.

I do imagine that coming out as pro-life can really hurt a musical career, of course, with the scum and villany that run the movie and music industries, but you would think that since the 30 and under demographic the music industry is aimed toward is mostly pro-life there would be more of a pro-life voice.
