I am replying to this post without even scanning it's contents. No offense to you, Lady In Blue.

Ms. Albright should be in shackles.

I saw this last night. If it replays, DO NOT MISS IT.

One of the 5 top TV journalism stories of the last 10 years. It shows the dithering, finger-in-the-wind complete lack of leadership by Clinton and Company (AND Kofi Annan).

Frontline asked to interview Clarke for this story....HE REFUSED TO BE INTERVIEWED. Frontline put his picture up while saying he refused. It was soooo funny.

LIES and more lies.
The UN was told by the Canadian/UN Peace Keeper OIC that some sort of "large scale" violence was coming weeks before it happened.
He tried to get permission to act on these reports and seize weapons and gather more intell.
Koffi Annan, who was in charge of the UN department that handles peace keepers, waffled and said no.
He didn't want to disturb or "aggravate" the possibly volatile situation.

I haven't read this yet, but it is a bunch more than they had on tv. What they had on tv was not at all flattering to Clinton, Albright, Clarke and the whole bunch of criminals.

No wonder Clarke apologized so profusely. In addition to not taking Al-Qaeda seriously, He didn't take Ruanda seriously, even after 300,000 had already been hacked to death.

. Richard Clarke career: evidence that incompetence can get people killed---by the thousands.

...even if she had, she believes the support wasn't there

That seems to be Maddie the Maid's excuse for every non-action during the Clinton years. Maddie used that same excuse for not doing more against Saddam, not doing more against al-Qaeda.

These people are so heartbroken that we didn't stop the Rwanda massacre, but none of them seem to care about the hundreds of thousands of people Hussein killed. Invading Iraq was apparently unjust.

during the early weeks of the killing what was happening in Rwanda "was not clear. … For whatever reason, the system did not manage to push the information up high enough to people making decisions." This is Clintonspeak for they don't really care and it might interfere with a "legacy" or checking out the newest interns.

Hey Maddie. Hogwash. Total hogwash.

You and the Clinton administration have nothing more than excuses to show for eight years as leaders of the free world. The Peter Principle administration.

You are the ghosts of failure. And nothing you say is going to change that. Your actions and inactions speak louder than words.

As I was watching this documentary the other night I found myself wondering how many dozens of media outlets both in America and abroad would have been howling like banshees continually from the moment this travesty was allowed to take place if George W. Bush had been in the WH when it happened. But since Clinton was president, the first serious treatment we've gotten of the disaster from a major media player, Frontline, is 10 years later.

It was plain to see as the Rwandan narrator took the viewer through the chronology of events that this horror was preventable. The crazed killers roaming the Rwandan countryside were woefully weak and ill-equipped. A few thousands well trained American or international troops could have deterred them.

The Tutsi genocide is a disgraceful black mark on the Clinton administration and on the world community. We should have gone in.

Maddie & Co. didn't intervene in Rwanda where real genocide happened, but we beat up the Serbs over an imaginary genocide of the Albanians in Kosovo. My head hurts. I have a Monica Migraine.

Here's the link to the web sight

FRONTLINE Ghosts Of Rwanda
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/ghosts/

This was a good show

But you have the wrong title. It should read

Why US Troops should never have Blue Uniforms
Or
Arkanside hit's 1 Mill.
Or
Clinton Legacy From Somalia to Golf II
Or......

This whole thing started because of UN & Clinton actions in Somalia. The people who planed this were right! The UN did exactly what they wanted.
I think All that was needed was to ask for Volunteers to go over. From US units.

Lady, many thanks for posting this interview.

The obvious comments discrediting Dick clarke (yet again) aside, the first paragraph is the height of sophistry - "the system did not manage to push the information up high enough to people making decisions" - that is simply mind-boggling. She was the Secretary of State, with an open-door, 24/7, no questions asked direct access to Mr. Clinton.

My God, my God, my God... how long must we see monsters like these in positions of power and who betray their oaths????
