Maybe Garafalo is who I listened to yesterday. No more than about 90 seconds went by before she said, "Everything happens in Florida because it looks like a big penis."
How very erudite.

The message would not be understood and appreciated if it were not for the articulate writer.
Kids coming out of public schools write so poorly, that when someone is talented, it sadly sticks out like a sore thumb.

I wouldn't listen to it unless they paid me, and even then, I have to reconsider it and reconsider it and reconsider it again before I did.... and most likely even then, I wouldn't listen unless they paid me 7 figures left of the decimal point per year. Then maybe I could stomach it.

Bernard has also resonded to every email I have ever written him. So has Danniel Henninger.
But, then again, so has Morford :(

In this liberal town where I live we have no talk radio so I'm angry, but I could be angrier if we have Franken (who insults The O Show) and Garofalo (who couldn't parry after Kilmeade made some strong shots at her) on our local airwaves because we have no good shows on the radio.

What personas? What skits? I remember him from SNL in a single skit, having to do with something like: "I know you're all wondering how all this affects me... Al Franken." That was his bit to call the 1980s the Al Franken Decade.
He was also one of the staff writers for most of SNL's lifetime.

That's interesting because I was about to ask how Garafalo's time went on air. I have XM and they've been pushing this new channel there but I don't want to waste my time on it.

Whatever happened to Ed Schultz...wasn't he going to make his entry into national liberal radio on this network? That's what I thought too. Are we going to have competing liberal networks? (Besides NBCABCCBSPBSCNN...)

Not my fault if gdogdaily decided to change the title. I always do a search before I post.

I took a series of deep breaths and while hyperventilated made the decision to listen to Air America for 3 whole days. I can do this because I am currently less than fully mobile with a broken leg. I must report that there were moments of awed hilarity at the chuzpah exhibited by the producers of this dilliness. Randi Rhoades (not a porn star) is the only veteran among them having had a 13 year ocal run in West Palm Beach which is some obscure little burg in Florida which no one ever heard of- wait there was something on the news about the place a couple of years ago, something about a guy named Chad. RR is a real screamer and specializes in invective and mindless harangue. She explicates nothing and tolerates no exlanations. She demonstrated some glaring ignorance when a lefty chick called and suggested that computer voting should be made to lead to instant runoff voting. RR was clueless and thought she was being attacked for her thoughts(?) on the 2000 recount. Her argument against Ashcroft hinges on her claim that he has no physical manhood equipment.
Janeane Garafolololo was just boring. She strives, almost successfully, for a monotone. I could not pay attention to the content of her words because they all droned into each other in a kind of rough hum.
"big Eddie" Schultz strives to be a pompous windbag and specializes in the nasty inside laugh. It substitutes for reasonn. He asserts something absurd and laughs/snorts to support his assertion.
Much of the format of some of the other shows was NPR. Two people speak to each other in a smug of course this is true manner and one has an aural picture of professors in easy chairs in the Club telling each other how it is and how the population is not smart enough to understand. That part about the mental competence of the proles runs throughout the shows. It seems to explain why they do not feel any necessity to back up their assertions- the proles would only be confused. The callers were few and, even though there must have been a hundred freepers feverishly dialing, I heard none. The callers I heard seemed to include mostly Naderites (and Nader) and DU types. I heard absolutely no reason why any non rabid lefty would listen to this. NPR has no competition here and Rush has no competition for any uncommitted seekers.
I did not last the whole 3 days. I turned it off an hour ago.

They definitely have some glitches to work out. I listened last night on my way home at about 8:00. They had an ad for "The Chapelle Show" on Comedy Central supposedly "Tonight at 10:30." Thursday's not his normal night, but I find Dave Chapelle to be hilarious, so I stayed up to watch it. It was not on. This morning, the same ad was on.

Very poorly conceived and executed production.
In their haste to get the hate Bush engine running, I think they forgot about the vehicle.

A ditto-head called in to Franken today.
Also, the two guys on for Rush today, Dr. Walter Williams and Dr. Tomas Sowell are outstanding. I read their commentary all the time and theyre great.

" He believes this train/movement will unearth a staggering number of potential voters, and ensure that legions of disenfranchised geniuses flood the polls and fondle Democratic punch tools at election time." "Disenfranchised Geniuses", lol. Now, that is funny. A liberal genius? Very few, there must be.
Fat Mike didn't know there was an Electoral College?
I wonder how many liberals don't know about the Electoral vote? LOL
No wonder they think Al Gore won. I would be embarrassed.

Neat pic. I'm envious.
Dennis Prager is my favorite.
Of course you know though, that a lot of stations/networks have streaming internet audio, right?

I would like to know about that letter Franken read...of course, I did not hear the show. But I have seen a bogus letter from a soldier from the 82nd floating around.
Did anyone hear, and does anyone know the details of the letter AF read on the air?

I caught Ed Schultz a while back on John Gibson's Fox show, and I believe that the lib bigwigs surmised that Schultz might be a tad unbalanced judging from his demented red-faced "conversation" with Gibson. Gibson could hardly get a word in edgewise. I thought Schultz was going to have the big one on air he was so agitated.

Did you notice how he couldn't bring himself to say "the American Way" when eh was stealing Superman's catchphrase in the opening monologue?
