It’s obvious to me that this country is rapidly dividing itself into two camps: the wimps and the warriors.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

A Congressional hearing in Washington, D.C. is the ultimate aphrodisiac for political groupies and partisan punks.

LOL - how true!

God bless Zell Miller for standing for truth; and for being a patriot, regardless of party label.

What good Democrats used to sound like. Reasonable. That was before they took a hard turn left and compromised every principle they ever had.

What Zell Miller has said is completely true. However, if Republicans think that this doesn't also pertain to them they are sadly mistaken. I am distressed that the Bush administration has once again stepped in to try to appease the "Hate Bush" administration by agreeing to appear before the 9/11 commission. This is totally unacceptable to me a professed Republican who is sliding toward the Independent or Constitutional Party. The Republican Party is becoming the party of whimps and needs to get on with being the party of warriors to which Zell speaks.

Senator Zell Miller is the type of Democrat that my family supported from the Civil War until the 1960s. Nowadays, those kind of Democrats are a myth. Today's DemocRATS are just that, RATS!

They care not for God, nor Country, nor Duty. They are only out for power and their liberal agenda. They are just as evil an emipre as the Soviet Union ever way. They only want to see the destruction of the American Way of Life that served this nation from 1776 until the 1960s.

The America I knew is slowly being destroyed at the hands of these DemocRATS and RINO Republicans. They are the allies of our enemies and are giving aid and comfort to those that wish our death and destruction.

I pray for God to bring a pox on these SOBs. The Lord may forgive these traitors, but I shall not.

Not now, not tomorrow, not ever!

I love this guy....Truly a remarkable man. He represents the Democratic Party that my grandparents once supported. He's the kinda guy that makes you proud to be an American, but sad that we have slipped so far down.

They didn't compromise their principles, they abandoned them entirely for filthy lucre, and power.

That is why the sooner we stop this endless bickering over the past and join together to prepare for the future, the better off this country will be. There are some things - whether this city believes it or not - that are just more important than political campaigns.

Bravo!

Argue and argue and argue and debate and debate and debate over all the other things – jobs and education and the deficit and the environment – but please, please do not use the lives of Americans and the security of this country as a cheap-shot political talking point.

Double bravo!! God bless you, Sen. Zell Miller (D-GA). You are a true patriot and I, a life-long Republican, and proud to stand with you on this matter of national and personal survival.

Zell Miller is what the Democratic Party used to be.

I know that's become conventional wisdom among conservatives, but I don't believe it. Near as I can tell, the Dem Party has been home to the American Left since at least the end of the 19th Century. However, it is true that their anti-American, anti-traditionalist radicalism blossomed into full public view in the 1960's and has only gotten worse ever since.

Fred Barnes just said two things on FNC I had not heard before:

1. When Condi Rice testified privately to the 9/11 Commission, of the 10 commissioners, only five showed up!
Fred thought that was amazing considering how much importance the commission has put on her testimony.

2. Fred mentioned that when Chairman Kean gave a press conference today he called for Rice to merely repeat the same stuff publicly that she said privately. What is the point of that?

I believe it will ultimately play a role in doing great harm to this country, for its unintended consequences, I fear, will be to energize our enemies and demoralize our troops.

Is this great man the only democrat that gets this? Do most American's get this? Fantastic Mr. Miller! We owe this man a debt of graditude for having the guts to tell it like it is.

I fear for this country.

I heard that too from Barnes about only 5 showing up! Un-freakin'-believable! Just another illustration of what a kangaroo court, Mickey Mouse commission this is!

There is no good point to such insistence on having Condi testify IMO. And how in the world do they expect to have her "merely repeat" what she said in four hours of questioning? Will she be testifying for 4 hours? Or will they compress what she said?

Prairie - When I hear this stuff (only on Fox naturally) I feel like my head could explode. Really - if people knew about this and all the other stuff freepers have uncovered, President Bush's ratings would be in the 85 percentile.

We simply need to find a way around the media. Besides FR. A way to reach the ignorant who don't understand the lousy reporting they are listening to on ABC, CNN, etc.

Maybe a FR news channel??? LOL
