Mansoor Ijaz claims to have attempted to broker the turn over of Osama Bin Laden to the Clinton administration. He was an advisor to the Clinton administration at the time.
This woman could be very nervous about sharing classified documents, which she probably should not have copied.

Would it be illegal for her to copy official government documents as she claimed?
I do not know, just asking.

I don't know if it would be illegal or not. But I will bet you any amount you care to name that if this story goes big, the Dems will call for an investigation into that legality.

I thought I heard her say she had already testified and turned documents over. It got drowned out by Hannity's talking...

I also found it interesting. Besides Monsoor Ijaz linkage, there was the letter to Lee Hamilton, who is the co-chair of the "911 commission" This could get interesting...

I'm beginning to wonder about the recent "suicide" of the two FBI agents these past few months.
The guy in New Jersey - did he ever do this type intelligence or investigative work?
The guy in Arizona - did he?

It isn't playing out that way.
Someone in my office said to me - "Let this be a lesson to you - anybody that decides to take a job after their predeccesor had been fired after 8 years of mismanagement, be prepared to take the blame."
I guess Jack Welch should be blamed for GE's demise before he took over, right? Interesting that they viewed it through a job prospect.

Clinton allowed the fight to come here - Bush took the offensive to them - that's the key difference.

from your link, some info and some wisdom ----
http://www.espac.org/terrorism_pages/osama_files3.html "He who closes his eyes sees nothing, even in the full light of day. ...The generalissimo preferred to trust his political instinct rather than the secret reports piled up on his desk." "He who closes his eyes sees nothing."
In the case of Sudan, 1996 through 2000, Madeleine Albright and her assistant secretary for Africa, Susan Rice, apparently preferred to trust their instincts that Sudan was America's enemy, and so refused to countenance its assistance against the deepest threat to U.S. security since 1945.
Ambassador Carney quoted Talleyrand, the 18th-century father of modern diplomacy. This saga was "pire qu'un crime, c'etait une betise." He provided his own translation. "It was worse than a crime. It was a fu*#up."

That's what I thought too, as I mentioned it in the body of my post. I thought she said she spoke to some committee in October...but as you said, Hannity started talking, again.

I thought I heard her say she had already testified and turned documents over. It got drowned out by Hannity's talking...Sean really drives me nuts when he does that. I realize there are time constraints, but it's very unprofessional of him to butt in like that. He would be so much better if he would not make it seem like he's in a hurry all of the time, even if he is.

"will ask her."
Sorry - not harping on you personally! :)
It's just that the timing of this, following so closely on the footsteps of Clarke's allegation-publicity-tour for his book seem more than coincidental...

We kept playing phone tag, but she seems interested in actually letting me interview her, so whenever the heck we finally connect, I will ask her that question since it is a valid one.

I interviewed her in the afternoon. She is a very patriotic lady and what what she said on Hannity is confirmed by books like Finding Bin Laden. She claims to have lots of docs as well (she didn't give me any, but why would she....what could I do with them anyway...I was just pleased to get an interview). Anyway, she is trying to determine whether to give them to the professional media or not, but is somewhat scared about being a whistleblower.
She said that seeing Clarke and Albright (who Janet McElligott said stopped many meetings between Sudan and the US that she tried to set up) lie at the 9/11 commission just set her off and made her decide to do something.
She refused to blame Bush or Clinton directly, and gave a passionate speech to me (as she was working in her garden) about nailing OBL and them being responsible for the attacks, not Americans. She also said that she spoke before the 9/11 commission privately in October and they asked very poor questions of her....she had a lot of negative things to say about the commission. I was really impressed with her that she seemed really genuine, and she didn't laugh like she did on Hannity.
She says a lot of media have been calling her and she has been swamped with interviews lately, more than she expected.
What a very nice lady! (She kept calling me "hon" etc...lol) Surprising that anybody from near the east coast could be so nice when they worked in such a stressful position trying to work between two govts. that have beyond cool diplomatic relations.

I may post a quote or two from her that stuck in my mind tomorrow, but now that I finally am starting to get sleepy I am going to finally go to bed.
