Berger is lying because he can't make a coherent statement ever since Lehman nailed him on a few lies.

Between the TV and FR, I can't manage hearing Rush.....if possible, post what he says.

I'd love to be there at lunch, when their aides all play the tape for them...

Good heavens! I'm torn between listening to Rush and Berger. :(

I am not too sure about Carole being a Bush loyalist. She wants to run for governor - maybe next time against Perry. Scott may be a nice guy, but he is too dry and non-responsive, especially after Ari.

I laughed when Rush said these committee members should say, "Put your left hand on the Clarke book and raise your right hand. Do you solemnly swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help our Clarke?"

Oops! Of COURSE he does. Didn't have my thinking cap on. Thanks for the correction. I've seen their NY office so many times that that is just where I picture everyone from Fox.

You have no idea how right you are.
Here is his bio

Mr. Berger has varied prior experience in government, having served as Special Assistant to former New York City Mayor John Lindsay; Legislative Assistant for former U.S. Senator Harold Hughes (Iowa) and Congressman Joseph Resnick (N.Y.); and Deputy Director of the Policy Planning Staff, U.S. Department of State, 1977-1980. During his tenure at the State Department, Mr. Berger was involved in a wide variety of international economic, security and foreign policy matters.
Prior to his service in the Clinton Administration, Mr. Berger practiced law with the Washington law firm of Hogan & Hartson (1973 - 1977, 1981 - 1992), where he was a partner and headed the firm's international trade group.

Somebody posted something last night that left me thinking - I now believe Clarke is likely a racist bigot who cannot handle working for a woman, nonetheless. Thus why the source of his original outrage is Condi and later redirected at Bush. Note that his first assumption about Condi was that she was stupid while Sean Hannity last night played a 2000 campaign foreign policy speech she made which almost sounded prophetic about the threats of AlQaeda - yet he is dismissive of her talent from the get-go; probably a racist sensitivity. Then he not only gets her job but is demoted by her. Of course, in the Clinton administration, where the highest ranking black woman was Omerosa of Donald Trump fame, it must have been quite a shock for Clarke to have to start working for such an incredibly well read woman of color like Condoleeza Rice.

Questioner just pointedly asked if Berger talked with Condi about AQ. He said yes.
