I had a 79 Pinto.

I had some model close to that (maybe a little older) and you couldn't kill it. It was also stick shift, but drove a little rough, we used it as a backup car for years until it became to bad an eyesore.

Mine lasted 12 years until I lent it to my sister who killed it in 6 months.

Pity.
